Sooo I went back and forth and trying to decide if I wanted to rent a birthday room for Sage at Indoor World because I wasn’t sure about how many people were coming. So, I booked the birthday room for up to 10kids/10 adults (per the company’s booking site) for 12pm September 15th.
So, the first problem was they called me last weekend saying, and I quote, “hey you have a reservation September 15; what color balloons do you want?” First off, who is this?????? They did not say, “Hello,,this is Indoor World….you have a reservation with us blah blah blah.”
Second problem!!! Today (the day of the party) I get a text at 10:30 saying that I needed to be at the venue at 11. I was confused because I set the reservation time for 12. So, now I’m rushing to get us ready to be there at 11. I checked the email and their website is set to eastern time!!!! Why is their site set to eastern time when we are central?!?! So, I get there at 11:30; no one is there, the doors are locked and no one is answering the phone. The next thing I know, someone arrives around 11:45. There is another party standing outside waiting on them to open the door.
I finally get in at 12 and there is NOBODY standing up front to assist or anything. There are people everywhere!!!! When a worker finally appeared, there was not any type of greeting, nothing. I stood there for about 10 mins. Everything is so unorganized nothing was ready. Rooms weren’t ready for either party!!!! So, finally, they say something to me and at this point I’m livid. On top of the un organization (mind y’all I booked for up to 10kids/10 adults), they made the parents with me pay for their socks. I was still under the amount of people that were supposed to be there.
When I spoke to the worker, she was completely unaware and could not understand what I meant by the differences in the time zones. She was insistent that we were called and made aware of the time discrepancies…we were not. If we were, we wouldn’t have rushed to get there.
There were no workers monitoring the children. There was a 10 year old jumping on the 1-5 year old trampoline knocking over the small children. We had to ask one of the two workers present to ask him to stop. To add insult to injury, some creep took pictures of me from behind. When my family members addressed him, he was adamant that he was “taking a picture of his kid.” He was not…my family member was right beside him and saw the picture.
The staff ordered the wrong pizza; in the call for confirmation, I asked for Domino’s; I received Papa John’s. Everything was unorganized. I was not pleased at all and do NOT recommend Indoor World!
I paid $375 for 5 kids and had to pay an additional for parents!
Response to their response
Indoor World I walked right in behind that party and like I stated there was no one up there checking in anyone. So I did not get checked in til 12:10. You also stated that you called the day before explaining about the time zone on the website. I DID NOT receive any phone call from you all hints of why I didn’t know anything about it being in a different time zone. My room was not ready to go because I walked in and you all (the only two that was there) was in the back still preparing the rooms. And yes the rules and waiver say that but some one should still intervene if they see a 10 year old jumping inside of an area that was clearly labeled 1-5. Because he was in there my one year old niece was not able to go in there bc of that 10 year old. The staff that I spoke with last week asked about the pizza and I said dominos. So you should make sure they care actively listening to who they are speaking with on the phone. And if I booked for 15/15 still why did the adult have to purchase socks if my count of who attended was well under 15. Your website is very misleading if that...
Read moreThe only reason I gave 3 stars is because the amount of fun my 5 year old had in the ball pit. We paid for a 2 hour party to begin at 2pm. When we arrived, there were still people from a previous party in our room that did not seem interested in leaving. So we did not get in our party room until about 2:15pm. I had guests outside of the room waiting to come in waiting for the previous party to leave and the staff to clean the room. Our party began and the staff was still trying to vacuum the floor. I was then told to make sure that I was out right at 3:55pm- which I did not. The party room was tiny. Absolutely not enough room for 20 adults and 20 kids to fit comfortably. I also was not aware that other parties and people were going to be there also while our party was going on. Other places have the whole area shut down so you have time and room for your party. I think I probably would have went another route if I had known the place would have been crowded with other people and parties. The place as a whole is not big enough for that. Much less the party rooms. Staff was not very friendly. Probably because they are just as overwhelmed and overstimulated as everyone else especially with the air compressor ball gun going off in that tiny room. I just wouldn't recommend. Not unless they get a bigger area. Go around the corner to jumping jelly beans. For the price you get the entire place to yourself for your family and friends to celebrate with instead of everyone in the...
