My husband and i usually take our 5 children to the five and below at this location but after witnessing a very unfortunate incident we won’t be coming back to this location if you are a family of color they will make you feel very uncomfortable I’m not sure if the young lady that work at the self checkout was told to only scan people of color items. But it was giving very much Uncle Tom she ran almost tripped over just to scan up my items and she insisted on doing so she said she had to do it l. So I said ok no problem I have no issue with that she rung up my stuff and my husband stuff and we paid for our items as I’m bagging up my items she let a whole group of white girls walk pass and mind you they had a cart full of stuff! candy, t- shirts, hair accessories. A cart full of stuff! She didn’t say anything to them I waited to see if they would get the same treatment that my husband and I received and the other black families I seen her walk up to when I say she didn’t budge she let the group of yt girls scan their stuff in peace so I spoke up I said so you aren’t going to ring up their stuff like you did every body else’s she didn’t think I was paying attention but I was watching. I have no problem at all with rules or following them but the rules should apply to everyone. Once I spoke up she went over there and scanned their stuff but she only did it because I said something the girl at the self check out was a young black girl with braids and it’s so sad how your own people can stereotype you or go out their way to make sure a person Of color won’t steal but be real comfortable when a yt person is shopping when we all know they have been known to steal too what im saying is watch everyone! black, white pink, brown etc because you never know my family and I won’t be back...
Read moreStarting with the staff, you're going to get a mixed bag. Some of them are friendly but not helpful. Some of them are helpful but not friendly. And the rest are neither helpful nor friendly. But you don't really go to a Five Below for the staff, now, do you? As for the product selection here, I've been to better Five Belows. They sometimes have some new neat stuff but mostly it's the same old- same old pink earbuds and useless children toys. But seriously, what were you expecting? The place is a MESS, that's for sure. Things are thrown all over the place and trying to find something here sometimes feels like digging through a colorful landfill. I don't think they ever tidy things up. But, again, it's Five Below? You get what you plan...
Read moreI love 5 below so much, I get small things, gifts, kawaii stuff and even mushroom/witch stuff. But this 5 below in particular has been a pain before. I've had issues with employees not directing the checkout crowd, and not assisting us in finding something (or doing it to other people) Earlier today I checked what time it closed, 7 pm, before even 6:30 we arrived, along with three other small groups, and it was closed but all the lights were on. Even the big 5 below sign was still on. Any other time the big sign would be off.
Edit: went back not long ago and the store was clean and the workers were so friendly. The only "unclean" area was the perfume area because it was...
