I am not one to leave reviews especially negative ones because I am a very laid back person but I ordered my engagement ring here a month ago and they gave me my receipt which gave me an estimated date the ring would be ready. One day I stopped in here about 3 weeks later because I was in the area and decided to just check on it. A lady approached me and asked if I needed any help and told her I just wanted to check the status on my ring. She asked if I had my receipt which I handed over to her and she proceeded to tell me “do you not see the date on the paper that shows you what date it will be ready for you?” I quickly told her that the date said estimated which means it could come any time before or after. She insisted that it would be ready on the said date on the receipt and told me dont come to the store unless they call me. I walked out very upset that day and decided to come back on the day that was given to me on my receipt. I go in there to speak to a man at the jewelry department and told him I was there to check on the status of my ring again, he responded saying that he would check but since I didn’t receive a call that it probably wasn’t ready even though the last lady told me it would be ready that day that was on the receipt. I have came to this store to check on my ring because sometimes my phone will block out unknown numbers so im not exactly sure if its JCPenney calling me or not. I have tried calling this JCPenney multiple times to check for my ring as well with never any answers. I understand my receipt said an ESTIMATED date and sometimes these things take time but your employees should never come off rude telling me to read the date on the receipt saying it should be ready that day when it clearly wasn’t. All I would like is my ring that I have been...
Read moreIt's been years since I've shopped at jcpenny, and I regret my visit. I was greeted in the main aisle (I'm sure their snotty worker would correct that term), after the two workers and I walked past each other. I was looking for the makeup department and should have asked for help, but didn’t because the workers were already further down the main aisle. The bedding displays were eye-catching and welcoming. There was a long line at one of the registers.
When I found the makeup department, no one was there. I waited a few minutes, went out to the main aisle, and looked for a worker. When I finally saw one, she turned away to avoid me. Another worker was walking past the department, so I asked if anyone was available to do a makeover. The worker kept walking past me while correcting me, stating, "It's not called a makeover anymore, it's a [not sure what she said]. She's right there!" I turned to look and saw a worker entering the department. 1. The worker who avoided me looked presentable. The worker in the makeup department looked beautiful. The worker walking past me looked like a trashy walmart reject. Maybe she's a custodian, which would make her appearance appropriate for her job. 2. It's not necessary to correct the customers' word usage, especially if you're not going to bother to stop, make eye contact, and assist them. 3. A more appropriate, customer friendly response to the harsh tone of "She's right there!" is "the makeup specialist is coming over to assist you. Have...
Read moreMy experience at Jcpenney had been good but I had a bad experience with jewelry repair dept particularly one person name Karen I left a ring to be size in August and according to my repair receipt it wouldn't be ready until 9/5 I called around 9/2 and was told it wasn't back yet no problem well I didn't call back until 9/14 it took several attempts to get through before someone picked up and I spoke with a person name Karen and asked if my ring was back yet and was told it's been back 9/4 and she said she would check to see who called me and she came back on the phone to tell me it was her she said she left a message she said it in a rude manner and and stated my phone number she said she call I told her I didn't recieve a message or call then I ask her how much was the repair and she said it's on your receipt $45 I told her I see that but it s printed the repair could be up to $45 then Itold her my daughter would be picking it up and she said rudely if she don't have the receipt she won't be able to pick it up .I think Karen need more training in customer service on how to speak to people in a better manner and not be so rude to customers it gives Jcpenney a bad name as far as customer relations I'm a66 year old Woman and I really didn't appreciate the way Karen spoke to me I hope someone that manages this store in Colonial Heights Va Southpark mall will address this situation Thank You ...
