i’m not usually one to leave bad reviews.. i love being the person to rave about a place being the foodie that i am but, this restaurant needs some help.. there’s been a change of management (i asked due to a sign up front mentioning a decline in revenue which would cause gratuity on certain parties?) & it shows. the place was hardly busy for a friday night, the food came out at a decent time but was not what i expected. i ordered 6 blue crabs & 1/2lb of crawfish (spicy with cajun seasoning only). the entire thing had chunks of garlic in it (every seafood boil place i’ve been to has never had garlic chunks unless you order the combo of all seasonings) , this was only a problem because i’m highly sensitive to garlic & will be sick if i eat it, so i kindly asked if they could take the food back & remake it. they remade the food pretty quickly but upon arrival, it was someone else’s meal. it had shrimp & sausage (which i didn’t order) & half the amount of crab that i ordered. i was understanding as i unexpectedly sent the first order back due to my own food sensitivity but after fixing it for the 2nd time & bringing the corrected meal out, i was still very disappointed… the “spicy & cajun” sauce wasn’t spicy nor cajun. it was a light orange sauce that looked creamy & had no flavor… the blue crab & crawfish were mushy & tasted like water… no seasoning, nothing. i wanted so badly to enjoy my birthday dinner & to give them a chance but it was an overall NO for me. the service was fantastic & so was the manager but, the food itself will be the reason i never return & will not suggest this place to others…i was also advised that the kitchen staff didn’t speak english which is probably why there was such a...
Read moreThis is the place to go if you want to get cheated out of your money. Yesterday, we went down from Richmond, for about our 4th visit. We ordered the C Platter. Noticed that we had 2 small snow crab clusters each. Called the waitress over and l asked her, does these look like they weighed a pound. She said no. Her so called manager by the name of Asia came over. Asia kept repeating that in the kitchen the legs are weighed. How can 2 small clusters equal a pound? Asia was not professional and after she made comments she added "You see what l am saying?" Very ghetto. I told Asia, that we will be leaving, and that the serving was not acceptable. Asia kept telling us that she would have to charge us for what we have eaten. I told her, yes, l will pay for the one shrimp and one sausage that l had eaten. Asia was upset, grabbed the food, walked away, saying something about us to her co workers, some laughed. As we sat out in the parking lot, my wife suggested that we go to Ocean Seafood in Richmond located on Hopkins Rd. This was our first time going. We ordered the same platter, which a pound was equivalent to 2 1/2 large snow crab clusters. My husband and I recently visited [Restaurant Name] for a date night, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped for. While we've had excellent service here in the past, this particular evening was disappointing.
Upon arrival, we waited quite a while before being attended to, despite the restaurant not being busy. When we finally placed our order, only two entrees arrived, and my meal was missing entirely. I mentioned this to our waitress three times, but my food never arrived. The lack of attention and responsiveness was frustrating, to say the least.
Additionally, our waitress had a nonchalant attitude, which made the situation even more disappointing. It seemed as though she wasn't suited for the role, as her demeanor did not reflect the standard of service we've come to expect from this establishment.
While I understand that everyone can have an off night, this experience was a stark contrast to the excellent service we've received in the past. It's unfortunate that we were assigned the wrong server this time.
