Nori Helm was our designer and she was/is phenomenal! We arrived with no designer and Nori greeted us warmly and enthusiastically. She LISTENED to us and was sooo patient with us. We were building a new home in Cathedral Ridge and needed several furniture items to support furnishings we already had. For the office/guest bedroom we were building out a large closet as an office space for my husband. We wanted a desk with specific dimensions and wanted high quality. Nori recommended the Archbold line and we ordered a desk and a 2 drawer lateral file cabinet to match. In that same room, we desired an American Leather Sofa/Sleeper. Nori helped to advise us of the different models and fabrics/leathers and we ordered that item. The desk/file cabinet arrived and are perfect! As is the American Leather Sofa/Sleeper. We then wanted bar stools so Nori helped us choose 5 Amisco stools and helped us choose a style that perfectly complimented the style of our new home. (Guests absolutely LOVE the barstools and never venture very far away!) We also chose a new bed with adjustable RIZE frame. It is soooo very comfortable and luxurious! Then in order to enable us to more splendidly view Pikes Peak, Nori recommended leather swivel chairs. She helped us find a chair to perfectly match the scale of our existing furniture. We chose John Lewis chairs in butter cream leather. They are perfect and we love each and every item Nori so carefully, tastefully, professionally helped us choose!!!
We are soooo very grateful for her design sense and for the serendipitous circumstances for finding her!!! You have a jewel! AND a wonderful representative. She has sound design sense and was open to our questions/thoughts and kindly/thoughtfully assisted us in choices that have beautifully accentuated and embellished our home! We are thrilled! Read moreThis was the first time my husband and I purchased furniture from AFW. After years of tagging along with our extended family and multiple recommendations, we finally decided to purchase our first piece of furniture to see if it lives up to all the hype. The store is huge and has an extended variety of just about anything you could possibly think of. My husband and I loved it so much that we spent a little over two and a half hours looking at living room and bedroom furnishings. We even wrote down additional furniture to purchase in the future. For the most part the staff were helpful. We did, unfortunately, end up working with a saleswoman that made us second think our purchase multiple times due to the measurements and was continuously pushing us to forgo delivery and use their pick-up option. It was frustrating to say the least, however we've experienced amazing customer service in the past with our families and wrote it off as a rare occurrence. We eventually set up a delivery date and the couch was delivered a little earlier than expected, time wise (which was super convenient) and the gentleman delivering our couch were beyond impressive. We live on the third floor of an apartment and it took them less than 5 minutes to carry it up three flights of stairs. They delivered it in perfect condition and were so kind. We've never experienced such an amazing delivery service in our lives and that alone was worth WAY more that delivery fee that was charged. My husband and I have been incredibly impressed with the service, delivery, selection and overall experience at AFW. Read moreThis store has a good selection of reasonably high-end furniture but the customer support is sadly inadequate. We purchased a display desk for around $3300. Before the desk arrived, we were contacted by the salesperson to inform us that we should only deal through her. When my wife went to the store again and Ally, the salesperson, was on a day off we received an upsetting phone call insisting that we should only deal through her. When the desk arrived one of the large drawers did not fit. After a week a techie finally arrived and at least got the drawer to close, but on careful inspection most of the six drawers were in some way out of true. The techie took pictures and promised to pass on the issues. The next day we received a phone call from Ally which started out with “the world is not perfect”. No apology, no attempt to find a way forward. She called back a while later but hung up on me when I expressed that I was less than happy with her excuses. That’s the last we have heard so we are left with a less than perfect purchase. Great.
