Just came in today to trade in consoles, Iâve been wanting a Nintendo Switch. Last night my husband was on a mission to get one, he spoke to a gentleman named Nate (I think) and he was unbelievably kind and nice, he went above and beyond for my husband in store. Today, we went in to trade the rest of the consoles (PS4, 2 Xbox ones, Xbox x) (note: if your consoles are not updated before taking them in the store please make sure you do that because they cannot do that in the store, also make sure if youâre trading in your Xbox that you turn off âmy home Xboxâ for each account same goes with PS4) these are for safety issues with transactions & cards etc, it will make it a smoother transaction for you. We came back to the store today with the same consoles we had from last night and the woman had said that she couldnât take our ps4 because it had a screw missing and out of line which to us is bologna, my husband got a second opinion from another gentlemen that happened to be the manager, he okayed it, turns out was just a sticky piece on the console, thank you so much to him! We have two of the same consoles to trade in (two Xbox ones) you unfortunately cannot trade both in at the same store unless you come back the next day or go to another store, thatâs the policy, Iâm okay with that. Overall 4 stars for this location, would have been 5 if the woman working showed a little more empathy on the ps4 we brought in.    Read moreWent in 16 days ago bought a controller. I questioned the clerk Sheila if the controller worked for Xbox. To which she replied emphatically that it did, reassuring my purchase. I spent 3 days reading the Internet forums to find that it absolutely does not work for Xbox. After explaining to the two employees the situation they checked the ticket to confirm it was a certain employee and acted as if it was common place and they were not surprised- when asked about this later, both employees bald faced lied about what they had literally stated 4 minutes ago. I am 1 day outside of my return timeline of 15 days, as I work full time and didnât have it high on my todo list. GameStop is unwilling to return a controller their employee falsely represented as working for my system. Told me to call corporate as managers donât have ability to make any exceptions. They gave me a corporate number to call. This review will disappear when the issue resolved. If you still see this review, they still owe me $50. Save your time. Shop online. Even Amazon has a better return policy....
   Read moreToday I tried to trade in two Nintendo systems. First older lady working said she couldnât take one without the original charger then said she wasnât sure about it. I told her the other GameStop told me you just needed a charger for a console, as Iâve traded other systems no problem. Then she is like âwell we got some new people working, soâ which I guess she is new too since she wasnât sure of herself.
Then my second system, which Iâm just getting rid off since I never play it and the trade is reasonable on the GameStop site. The guy âtriedâ connecting to the internet⌠then claimed it wasnât connecting and the lady is quick to say mark it as refurbished and I told her no Iâm taking my system back. Itâs an older system, but itâs damn near mint condition and was hardly played.
I brought it home and it connected to my internet just fine. Make sure you know your store wifi password before you say something doesnât work.
Based on the reviews I am glad I kept the systems and Iâll go to another GameStop...
