I visited this salon on my birthday (July 8th) after being referred by a friend. I called ahead to book an appointment specifically for hard/builder gel, but during the call, there was some confusion—at first, it seemed like they didn’t offer it. Eventually, they said they could do clear hard gel and apply polish over it, which is exactly what I had, so I went ahead and booked. During the appointment, I noticed some red flags. The product being used came from a bottle similar to nail polish, which I’ve never seen used for builder gel. Instead of doing a typical fill, she soaked off the entire set. When she applied the gel, it was painted on like polish—no apex building, no structure. As a licensed esthetician who works in a full-service salon and spa, I’m familiar with how builder gel is typically applied—from a pot, using a separate brush to sculpt and build the nail. I mentioned this to the tech, but she insisted it was because they were using color gel. I had clear gel with DND polish over the top, so that explanation didn’t make sense. At first glance, my nails looked okay when I left. But once I got home and took a closer look, I realized they were bumpy, thin, and uneven. The gel and polish weren’t even applied all the way to the edges of my nails. I showed my friend, who’s a licensed nail tech, and a coworker, and both agreed the work was poorly done. I’m mostly disappointed because it felt like they weren’t honest from the start. It seems like they told me they could do builder gel just to get the appointment, even though the tech clearly wasn’t trained or experienced in that service. I would have appreciated transparency up front instead of wasting time and money on a service that wasn’t done properly.

My friend surprised me with getting my nails done before Valentine’s Day, so he picked this place because it was the closest to him with good reviews but the service was anything but. I got an older gentleman and he did not communicate at all. He did not cut my nails down short enough. He didn’t do anything with my cuticles. He knicked me quite a few times with the drill. He continuously tucked the sides of my nails down and under instead of filing them down. When I chose a color he didn’t tell me that he didn’t have it and picked another one without telling me. I assumed it was the same color just a different brand or something but when he started to paint my nails it was a lot brighter than pictures shown. So I had to ask him to change it. I was going for a dark wine red or plum red color. Everyone I picked he would say they didn’t have. So we went with the color pictured. It at least looks dark out of the sun. My nails are uneven and crooked. It’s not the color or shape I was asking for. I even had a picture for reference which he barely glanced at. Pretty disappointed in the service and outcome of my nails. I had to pretend to be happy with them because it was already close to closing by the time he was done with this service. I know my friend feels even worse because he was just trying to do a sweet surprise for me after having a terrible week at work. Will not be coming back.

If youre serious about nails and you keep your nails on fleek-then don't go here. The main guy is rude and pushy. I went and told him I wanted my nails dipped and he gave me acrylic color. He told me that dip nails are weaker and don't last as long, which is untrue and something I haven't experienced in my 15 years of getting my nails done. I asked him to do several nail art ideas, all of which he said he couldn't do and referred me to another nail shop. On top of this my nails were thick and sloppy and the cuticles were messy. I'm sure I have the right location. Lux nails at 3505, 5944 Stetson Hills Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80923 And I am aware that you guys like to do dip because a lady came in while I was getting my nails done in acrylic and asked for dip, and she was given dip. As a customer who has been getting my nails done for years (in serval states from NC to CO) I was unhappy with the fact that I wasn't listened to and the finished results were poor. I wouldn't take the time to write a review (twice) if it wasn't true. When a customer spends their hard earned money for a custom service they expected it to be what they paid for and asked for. This was not the case for me when I was there. Thanks

BEST DELUXE PEDICURE IN COLORADO!!! I haven't had them do anything but a basic paint on my hands with a deluxe pedicure, but mind you, I WILL BE BACK!

I use to live up in Denver, and i have a favorite acrylics nail lady, so to be honest I don't think they could compete with her, she's even more OCD than I am when it comes to symmetry and how natural she can make them look, BUT I will update my review if I go and get a full set at any time.

SUMMARY: If you are looking for a relaxing full service pedicure in Colorado, THIS is where you go!!!

FIRST IMPRESSION: I went Saturday morning before mother's day 10 minutes after they opened, there were already 10 people being serviced, they had a wait as I didn't have an appointment, but they had me wait while soaking my feet in the massage chairs for pedicure customers... #winning ... They are a well oiled me in there! They know who came in when and what they want and have great estimated wait times... All of which are worth it if you want your feet to be in heaven like mine were 😉

DELUXE PEDICURE: ($45) They had me soak my feet (obviously) in hot water and then they grated off calluses on my feet, exfoliated and trimmed my toes, sanded my feet, did a sugar scrub up to my knees while massaging, rinsed and then put my feet in the was bags, put a VERY refreshing mud mask on my calves (up to my knees) ...IT WAS HEAVEN!! (especially since I just shaved my legs that morning)... They let all that soak with a hot towel over my legs, rinsed, proceeded to give a great hot stone massage all over my feet and calves, I think they had me sit with my legs wrapped in a hot towel again and then they moisturized while massaging again and then put my sandals on for me and then carefully painted my 9-month pregnant and swollen feet! 😂💅 Two days later in flip flops and errands and I STILL can't find dry skin on my feet. MINOR painting errors on the skin of my toes but I can't reach or see them really, since I'm 9 months pregnant, but I also have seen feet and microscopic toe nails so I'm use to it.

(Chrome Silver Gel) PAINTED NAILS: ($35) There might have been some confusion with my nails getting painted but it was probably mostly on my end. I had press on nails at the time and I was disappointed in my skills so I asked them to cover my nails up with paint and I SHOULD HAVE just had them help me take these off so I could get acrylics, but I was a relaxed noodle after the deluxe pedicure and would have given them my car on my way out if they asked 😂 ... Anyways, they have a silver chrome gel color and I was stoked about it! I think they could have taken a second pass at the chrome as it currently looks like mercury glass, but I still like it and I don't mind. I might ask for a second pass if I go this route again though.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Definitely a must go! Get an appointment if you decide to go on a weekend or evening though, they sit you before anyone that is waiting around (just like it should be). They communicate with each other and they are very attentive, I appreciate...

To all women of Colorado Springs. I simply could not wait to review this place. My daughter and I decided to have pedicures done. We didn't know where we were going to go. My daughter frequently gets pedicures but I don't. I had physical therapy at Strive. As I was pulling up to my place of destination, I happened to look up and saw Lux Nail & Spa. After therapy we went in to see what was offered and pricing. We asked if we needed to make an appointment to come back on the same day service and was told No Ma'am, we accept walk-ins which was perfect because I had my granddaughter. From the moment we walked in..let me tell you.."EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE".. I haven't had a pedicure in 4 years and this was due to bad experiences and poor job service. I was skeptical but what the heck, if it was gonna be bad then I'd prefer to do them myself. My overall experience was 1000 percent satisfied. I received the classic deluxe at $44.00. It was everything more than that. I literally fell asleep. Ms. Lee was the technician that performed my service and she did absolutely perfection. I have never in my life had a more welcoming experience. She did her job excellently. Everyone was so kind and pleasant. All that was needed was a bottle of wine, fine chocolates and some beautiful champagne glasses. I did not want to leave. She gave me a pretty extensive message. My legs and feet were smiling. Once done, NO ONE rushed up to the front counter to have us hurry up and pay. It was perfect. Not only was I satisfied but I left Mrs. Lee a beautiful note of my appreciation on the receipt and a nice tip. I also have a little surprise that I have planned for her to come soon. I have found my "FOREVER" Nail Salon. I won't be frequenting any other place but here and asking for Mrs. Lee. (If she isn't married, I apologize). I usually go off of my first mind with women. We were treated fairly and with respect. Nothing but smiles all around. You know you've done your job when you don't have to ask.."Are you happy and satisfied". My daughter and I repeatedly let the staff know how ecstatic we were. We felt so at peace and at home here. Many people began to come in during and after our session and they also seemed just as we are..HAPPY & SATISFIED... EXCELLENT JOB LUX. You've won yourselves two new satisfied customers. God bless each and everyone here. May your business continue to flourish and prosper. This is how a great...

I am SO MAD at Lux Nails. I had been going there for months because I work in banking and they are open on Sundays. Previously, I had called to set up an appointment on a Sunday and Lynn answered and said "You know we don't take appointments on Sunday, right?" No.. how would I know that? So after that, I went to go get my nails done on a Sunday and women start lining up at the door at like 10:45 and basically allow the employees just a second to unlock the door and then they enter the building before the employees even do! I waited until everyone got inside and then went in and put my name on the list for a shellac manicure. I waited about 15min and then was seated. Then two girls come in and say they have appointments for pedicures and another woman comes in saying she has an appointment for a fill!!!! Employees rushed over to them and the guy who was soaking off my shellac said he was going to start on the lady with the apt for the fill. I didn't mind since soaking can take 10min and he didn't just want to sit there doing nothing, but then he did HER WHOLE FILL. And I sat and sat and sat. One lady came over and chipped away for a bit, then quit and finally after soaking for about an hour, they sent someone else. She giggled and said "sorry, we are so busy, what color do you want?" And I said "nothing, just please take them off so I can leave" not to mention, my boyfriend dropped me off but I had foil all over my hands so I couldn't text or call him to let him know what was taking so long or look at my phone while I waited. After she took off my polish I asked how much I owed and she said $10. I was stunned. I thought after all the time I had waited and since she had personally known me that she would tell me not to worry about it. I was furious. I paid my $10 and left and will never return. I shouldn't have even paid. You lost a faithful customer, lux nails. I am not high maintenance. The two people who always did my nails commented on how nice I was and that I was not picky. You chose to put the needy, bitchy women as a priority, lie about appointments, and have no concern about nice customers. No wonder women throw a fit in nail salons, it's the only way you'll get what you want and get it done quickly. Giving them two starts instead of one because every time I did go, they did a fantastic job. My feelings...
