Taco Express — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Every time we go there, the service is insanely slow. I decided to go in and get our order to go for hopefully faster service. The cook AND the girl at the counter saw me, turned away from me, then started talking. I decided to check my watch to see how long it would take with NO ONE in the drive through and NO ONE in line except my son and I. After TEN MINUTES I said, "Really?" Then she turned around, said, "Sorry" and asked for my order. At that moment, the drive through buzzed, and she said, "Excuse me" without even taking my order. She went to take that order first. After taking my order, another woman came in and made an order. She said she didn't want specific sauces or guacamole on her food. The girl behind the counter said, "Are you sure?" Then the woman said, "Yes.....it is for my children." Then the girl behind the counter shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes. The Carne Asada is ALWAYS super dry and the breakfast burritos are awful. I ordered the Carnitas meal, but got home and saw a friend had arrived from my church with dinner unexpectedly so I gave my dinner away and ate what my friend brought instead. That was my last attempt to see if food/service would be any better, and it wasn't, so never again will we give them our business. With so many other better and faster Mexican restaurants currently in business, and popping up, they better completely change their game plan or they will be out of business. They just won't be able to keep up with the competition. I gave only 1 star because I had to enter something, but don't feel that even that 1 star...

If I could give this place zero stars I would! We have regulars here for years and eat here normally about once a week. However, after today, I will never eat here again! We ordered three burritos and when we got them home, we noticed that two of them were incorrect. They had beef on them, and we cannot eat beef. I called to explain to them the situation and at first the woman who answered the phone told me that she would like for us to come back in, and they would make the burritos correctly. Then, she quickly switched to say that she needed pictures of the burritos to see if they were actually wrong. I was already a little insulted by that, but I am happy to oblige. So, I took some pictures and we settled on getting a credit for a future visit. About two minutes later, she called me back and told me that she did not believe me that they had beef in them and that she wanted my son to bring the burritos to the store with him. She insinuated that I was lying. I told her that we have eaten there for years and that I could not believe the way that she was treating the situation and how unprofessional it was. I told her that I am happy to have my son bring the burritos back, but that we will never eat there again! She said she was the owner’s daughter and just doing her job. If that’s the case, perhaps the owner and his daughter need a lesson in customer service.

Clearly, they do not value their customers if they’re willing to call them liars over something like a nine dollar burrito! I’m disgusted at their lack of...

Update. NOT 24 HOURS. Closed on Saturday evening at 2am...the woman working ignored us instead of walking over to the window to tell us. We finally waved and she turned, looked at us and then looked away again. She was very rude. Their open sign was still on too. They still have the best chicken chimichanga around and I will continue to eat here. 🤣

24-hour drive through Mexican food with an option to order and eat inside. Convenience, quality and cost are all spot on at this restaurant. It is so much better than any of the fancier Mexican restaurants nearby. The carne asada french fries (shown in picture) are UNREAL- fries loaded with cheese, steak, sour cream, guac etc. The california burrito is amazing as well. I always get the chicken chimichanga and it is the best around. My parents recently visited from New Jersey where we have fantastic Mexican restaurants and they said they wished they had a place like this back home. Again, the quality paired with the cost and convenience makes this place great. The staff members speak fluent Spanish and pretty good English, just be patient and kind as you should...
