Big time recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed spot, somewhere to eat and play games at the same time, or anyone newer-ish to MtG.
The employees are incredibly warm and friendly! They were happy to help with anything and everything despite my socially awkward phrasing :) . I'm not a coffee person so I can't comment on that, but the sandwich I ordered was quite tasty and everything comes in nice mugs and plates so they've got that vibe down. Based on the other comments it seems like things here are gluten free, and it probably says a lot about the quality that I didn't even notice! It's clean, quiet, and in a good part of town. Just note that it can be a bit hard to find since they only recently opened and haven't got a sign out front yet!
A big thing here is their connection with board and card games, primarily magic. They run the usual friday night and sporadic-throughout-the-week events, but the best ones from my perspective are pioneer and pauper. Every other place in town is almost exclusively commander players, which is great and all, but it can be a struggle to find anyone who plays other formats as a result. It's awesome to have a spot for some more niche formats, especially when these events are on days other than Friday so you aren't forced to choose (which, by the way, pauper is the best 60-card format and also happens to be incredibly cheap to get into, you should try it!). Commander is still something people do here (it's 2025, who doesn't carry a commander deck on them at all times?), but I really appreciate that they put effort into supporting the other groups that don't have near-unlimited options for gathering places.
Regarding card product, what you can find here is surprisingly good. They have a "booth", for lack of a better term, with just tons of bulk singles that you can peruse through and buy. Other stores generally don't bother with the cheap commons or niche rares, but there are TONS of them here. If you're building pauper or just trying to find something slightly more obscure, it's often a pain in the butt to get the cards locally. Here though, there's so much selection that I've managed to get a straight up stack of cards I've been struggling to find for weeks! One of the guys also has a thing for brewing decks and sells pre-built commander and pokemon decks (at good prices too!). If you're newer and still in the process of building up a collection, then this is hands-down the best spot in town to find things you'll need. Grab a coffee, look at some cards, talk a bit with the barista, it's an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI REALLY wanted to like this place, and while I didnāt personally liked it, I will still recommended to others that are Celiac or follow a gluten free diet. This place is Celiac safe and that is hard to find, so their effort to create a safe environment is greatly appreciated.
The establishment offers plenty of seating, enough to accommodate a decent size group. It has an inviting and friendly atmosphere and a variety of board games to pass time.
The food and coffee were not my cup of tea. They have a limited menu, especially for those that enjoy common breakfast foods. However, they do offer a nice variety of pastry optionsāI highly recommend their brownies. I ordered a mocha and it was not what I expectedā¦it had a weird taste to it.
Overall, this coffee shop was not for me, but you should still give it a shot if youāre in the areaāespecially if you have dietary...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat experience!! Such a cool new local spot, and Iāll definitely be back. The food and drinks are delicious and the prices are super reasonable. Very friendly staff and a super cool interior with tabletop games and great lofi music. I have celiac and am super sensitive, but had a great experience here (check other reviews on the Find Me Gluten free app for better in depth reviews on the GF side of things). Excellent mocha, one of the best Iāve had! I love the space and menu! Would be curious if they could get a little warmer for heating up the baked goods if requested, because theyāre so delicious and I think that would make them even better!! Itās cozy and relaxing on the insideāI think it could be really cool also to have a bunch of lamps all over the space for some secondary lighting to really give it a neat tavern feel š Overall great...
