First I will start by saying that I have many food sensitivities and Panera is one of my favorite places to eat because it’s fresh and easily customizable. Today I was at my dads house and decided to see if Panera would deliver (they do not deliver to my house or my work) after finding out that they do deliver we went ahead and placed an order. Our food showed up an hour later and we were missing our side baguette, fruit, chips, and were delivered the wrong panini. I called the store and let the employee know, she profusely apologized told us they would send out the correct food along with the missing items, and some cookies because of their error, she also mentioned she had a driver there at the store that could come right away. After waiting an hour for my missing food I called the store and spoke to the same employee. The employee was shocked that the driver still had not shown up and that she would be sure our food was on the way. Fast forward another half and hour (we live 7 minutes away) and our food was still not there. About 15 minutes later a driver showed up with our food and I was STILL missing food, and the food we did get delivered was cold and no where near fresh. I don’t know about you but when I order lunch at 1:00 it’s a little irritating to get your food at 4, and after 2 phone calls to the store they still don’t get your items right. I didn’t end up calling the store to make them aware of the last missing item because by this time it seems as if no one in that store knows how to double check an order. I was very surprised I wasn’t offered a refund for the inconvenience. We did get free cookies but they were over cooked and hard and my dad couldn’t even chew them. Pretty poor customer service. Double check orders, and please make sure it doesn’t take someone over 3 hours to get their food, and still not even have all the items correct. I think these employees need to be held...
Read moreI was waiting for my food just like how everyone else calmly was doing when a customer came up and started getting very confrontational with an employee who was expediting and making sure everyone got their food. This customer was complaining how the employee was not washing his hands while he was standing at the food window and how the employee was being disgusting because he was touching everyone’s food. Now I had been standing there seeing this employee work and did not once see him touching anyone’s food, he was touching the plates just like how and server would at a sit down restaurant. The food window does not have a sink so making the employee go around after every time to wash his hands is absolutely ridiculous! This customer began raising his voice at the employee and even started cussing with children around. Now I don’t know if this guy was having a bad day but to take it out on the employees at the place you decided to eat at is not how a person should handle it. I believe that the employees were all doing an amazing job getting everyone’s food out at an amazing pace. When I went to go get my food I told the employee he was doing a great job and he proceeds to apologize for the angry customers behavior which I believe it’s the customer who needed to apologize to the employee. Thank you to the employees who were doing a great job today while it was really busy. And to the customer who obviously never worked a day in his angry life at a food service establishment, please do yourself and everyone a favor and learn to cook so that we don’t have to deal with you again because it was very...
Read moreI have always loved Panera Bread, and was looking forward to going this morning. They open at 7 AM, and we were there when they opened. Two people were working, a man and a woman. We ordered, I asked for a CinnaScramble and a CinnaSausage Scramble. When the guy said "2 cinna sausage scrambles", I said that I wanted the one without sausage. He said "people usually order with sausage, we don't make it without", and I pointed it out on the menu. He never looked us in the eye.
Then, I asked for hot chocolate, he said they do not have that anymore. We found our seats, right by the fireplace and asked if they would turn it on. Nope, it was "condemned, it does not work".
The food we ordered was good - this was the only positive part of our experience.
We wanted to order some Baked Goods, but only 4 bins had bagels in them that were available, so all of the options that we wanted to order (from theu menu on the website) were not available. The options they did have in the cases (scones, muffins) looked old and had crumbs around them -- looked like they had been there a while.
I pulled the baked goods (again from the menu on the website) and asked about a couple of items, but was told " what you see here is all we have."
I will NOTbe going to this Panera again...maybe another one will have better service and product options.
P.S. We actually left here to go to Kneaders (which we have never been to), in hopes of finding better baked goods, only to find they are closed on Sundays.
BAD SERVICE, BAD CHOICES. I am very...
