D & M Sound — Local services in Columbia Township

I first became acquainted with D & M Sound years ago when the store was located on East Broadway here in Columbia. I still have the Kenwood amp I bought with speakers large enough to rock the house (which they did). All of the gear was top quality, and I felt welcome in their store. We recently contacted D & M Sound to help us sort out the whole house speaker system that the home's previous owners struggled with. There were way too many unconnected wires at different locations and no indication of how they should be gathered and matched for the system to function. Anne and Ray at D & M Sound had the solution. Ray was patient, thorough and undeterred by the challenge of reconnecting the wiring. He also had recommendations for the audio equipment we needed and purchased from D & M Sound to fill the house with music, whether from CDs or streaming sounds from a jazz broadcast in Argentina, something Caribbean from a station in France or whatever else the world of music offers. While we could have gone online to look for the audio equipment and assistance we needed, or sought out the big-box stores, we didn't. If there is a problem from an online or big-box purchase, I didn't want to ask myself "Who you gonna call?" D & M Sound was there for us which is why I highly recommend them. I recently purchased a pair of speakers from D&M Sound. The staff were friendly and helpful. After ascertaining what I was looking for, I was treated to several musical selections. I was able to hear what the speakers were capable of. I knew what I was getting. I pulled the trigger and took delivery. There was a small issue with one of the speakers. D&M Sound handled it promptly. No hassle. They are friendly, and knowledgeable. I asked a ton of questions, all of which were answered to my satisfaction. The owner, Anne, is an absolute gem—she's not only incredibly friendly but also extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to help me visualize my setup and ensured I bought the perfect length of speaker cable.
