Las Margaritas Downtown — Restaurant in Columbia Township

I had the worst service of my life today at Las Margs. It makes me really sad to write this review because I love the other locations! Our waitress was terrible. She brought us our drinks & took our orders and then didn't even step outside again for at least 20 minutes to check on us. One of our party went inside to get her attention since it was really hot & we were thirsty, and she put her hand up and kept walking. She didn't come outside to refill our drinks & salsa for another 10 minutes.

Fast (slow) forward to when we actually received our food about an hour later, my order was wrong from top to bottom. I ordered the taquitos meal, beef with queso. She put it in as the taquitos lunch, which was fine, but I let her know I had ordered the meal, and she said "No, no you didn't." So instead of just apologizing for putting my order in wrong, she argued with me about what I ordered. They ended up being chicken instead of beef, no queso. I ate my meal, we got more awful service, the end. I've never had worse service, and I will...

Just went this evening. Absolutely terrible service, my order came out wrong so I had to send it back. When I received my check at the end it was mis rang for the highest priced quesadilla when and all I wanted was chicken and cheese. The server chose to ring in a fajita quesadilla with no veggies (11.99) instead of a quesadilla rellana with no beans (5.99). Absolute rip off, the server told me that she just assumes to ring in the fajita quesadilla when people order chicken and cheese. I was never asked. This was an absolute scam. I was told that I should have pointed to it on the menu and I could not be refunded for the way it was mis-rang in because I already ate it. The manager was very rude and we had to approach him to be helped after waiting for him for over 15 minutes. The manager eventually "refunded" me but gave me no receipt. I checked my account and was given no refund. I will not be returning. I advise to be really careful when ordering because they will try to rip you off and ring in the highest...

The other locations are AMAZING, but the downtown location is absolutely terrible. Will put you on hold if you are ordering pick for over 20 minutes, and will never get back to you if you have a complaint. I have grown up here in Columbia and have climbed my ranks through bars and restaurants so I understand the customer service side of everything. I ordered door dash and the issues with them was taken care of but the food quality needed to just be mentioned. I wasn't looking for money or "atta boy" all I wanted to do was to let them know their food quality was well bellow their standards. The chips were stale, the salsa was a quarter full, and the quesidilla was so watery it was unbeatable. I hope you all take my words a d hear me, I LOVE your food but your downtown is terrible.
