Sub Shop 8th St — Restaurant in Columbia Township

Excellent customer service. Today I ordered several sandwiches for delivery. When the driver arrived I noticed that my order didn't have the au jus sauce for my french dip sandwich. The driver apologized and said he'd have someone deliver it. I worried that someone wouldn't deliver the au jus sauce or I would be waiting at least an hour. But within 15 minutes someone brought the au jus sauce to my door.

Another time I was at the Sub Shop on 8th and placed a dine in order. Someone made me the wrong kind of sandwich. The man at the counter made the kind of sandwich I asked for and told me I could keep the sandwich they made me by mistake. I gave the sandwich to one of my friends. Anyway, whenever someone at Sub Shop makes a mistake they do whatever is necessary to make sure the customer is satisfied with their order. I've also been pleased with the quality...

I used to love Sub Shop. However, it's been several years since I've been into the downtown location. Today, I placed an online order and arrived at the estimated ready time. I stood in a line of 3 or 4 people who were placing orders at the counter. I got to the counter and was told my sandwiches were still being prepared. 25 minutes later, AND after several people who placed their order after me had already been served I approached the counter an was told my sandwiches were almost ready. 5 minutes later my name was called. With my lunch break pretty much over I left and rushed back to work. First off, my clothes smelled like grease just from standing in this place. Secondly, my sandwich was cold and had so much mayonaise slathered on that it was piling out the sides and dripping all over the place. Terrible...

We stopped in for lunch during the Earth Day celebration downtown. I am not sure if the staff were celebrating in their own way, or what. But the cashier was definitely unwell, she had unfocused eyes, slurred speech and was kind of swaying. She tried charging my card several times, had trouble ringing in our order as well. We sat down to a gross sticky table that we had to attempt to clean ourselves. We waited 30 minutes for 3 small sandwiches that cost almost $60.00 when we added chips. When the food actually came there was literally no meat on my overcooked bread, just mayo and sprinkled lettuce. My husband's meatball sandwich was disgusting.
