WARNING: Do not shop here if you are a person of color. My partner shopped at this store and she was racially profiled by the staff multiple times. They followed her around the store and asked for her to give her items to them behind the counter. They also asked for her full name and didn’t ask other customers that aren’t BIPOC for their full name. They also didn’t ask any other customers that weren’t BIPOC for them to give their items to be held behind the counter. Not sure how they think this is appropriate behavior in a “progressive” city like Columbia. Cool store. Brightly lit, great staff. Smelled great upon walking in. Wide variety of all sorts of stuff. We visited in search of postcards which we do on all of our travels. We found a nice selection with good quality, but at $4 each WAY far from typical, even with inflation. Still, we bought a few that were unique. We walked away with just four. Otherwise would have taken a dozen or more.
