We attempted to get Pizza here on New Years Eve and walked up to the counter to place an order for takeout. The girl who took our order had some issues with the card reader, and after she eventually got our order she only asked for a first name for the order. (This is important later on.) We gave it to her and she quoted us 30-45 minutes.
We walked around downtown for an hour to kill time while we waited and when we got back to the counter to pick it up we were told it would be another 30 minutes. We were a bit surprised, but it was a busy night so we talked it over and decided it wasn’t worth the extra wait at that point. There were a considerable amount of people who were standing around that had also been waiting for over an hour.
We went back up to the counter and requested to cancel the order if it was possible, and they had absolutely zero record of our order. No name that we gave them, no pizzas that matched the order we gave the girl face to face at the window, nothing. And when we showed them that our card was charged $75, so could we please at least get a refund since they charged us, they said - “since it was just a pending order, they would see that they hadn’t given us our food, so they would just cancel the order at the end of the night.”
Besides that making absolutely zero sense, we couldn’t just stand around and try to sort it out at the counter. The staff was extremely dismissive and not helpful at all. As of today, 1/1/23 our card was charged for the food we never got/they supposedly had no record of and we won’t be able to sort it out with our card company or Pizza Tree until Tuesday.
It seems like the staff don’t really know what they’re doing and have a hard time working under pressure. I would highly recommend if you eat here to only order through their website. It’s much...
Read moreThe short hair blonde girl with the square wire glasses is really rude. Genuinely, one of the most disrespectful, rude, and awful food service workers I have ever interacted with. I love the pizza here so I hate to bash on it, but this customer service honestly made me not want to come back if I see her working there. I was being very respectful while she was shooting me bad looks, and wouldn’t talk to me. She was completely silent during our entire interaction except for asking my name and if “I wanted the pizza warmed up”. Yes I want it warmed up, it’s a pizza(?!) also, she stood there glaring at me completely silent as I stood there waiting for my order. Seriously, what?!! My friend later went up to ask for hot sauce, and she had a rude look on her face and said nothing, just handed him the cup of sauce. No smile, no nothing. We both felt completely disrespected. Please try to teach your workers better customer service, this was completely...
Read moreLet me say I’ve been told about this place ever since I’ve been working in Columbia Missouri. Full disclosure I am a native Brooklyn, New Yorker so pizza is always a tricky thing when I’m traveling on the road or working in a different city. I’ve been told that this location the owners had gone on some kind of vision quest, or pizza quest, to find the best pizza. Well, I can certainly say their pizza has a close feeling like New York slice including the oil that drips down your wrist when you fold the triangle slice in your hands, however the slice was rather small and if you’re expecting New York style pizza slice just order two of them. The cheese was delicious. The crispy crust was great. I wish they had a location inside. You can eat they don’t so you have to take the pizza to go so just so you know get some extra napkins cause that oil is gonna drip...
