I went to 4 different furniture stores and Kimbrells was the first one I went to. Jamie saw me walk in, greeted and assisted me with my questions. He wasn't pushy or one of those salesperson that tries to get you to buy from them to make a sale. No pressure at all. I had my eye on a set but decided to shop around. I went to 3 different other furniture stores and no one ever asked me if needed help looking for anything or made any eye contact. 2 weeks later I went back to Kimbrells and Jamie remembered who I was and assisted me with details on purchasing the set I had my eye on. He was very kind with great customer service. He actually listens to what your looking for and that your going to be happy with your purchase after everything is said and done for. Got me all squared away. The day before my delivery I was getting my living room setup and realized that I had the wrong measurements on one of the pieces. The next day I called. Very hesitant on how this conversation was gonna go down and if anything could be done. Jennifer was GREAT! I told her what happened and that I wanted to swap it out with another piece. She said sure. Like a genuine cheerful sure, not one those sarcastic ones you get sometimes when someone's annoyed. It went so smooth and easy, couldn't have asked for better customer service. I do have to say I was prepared for them to show up with the wrong piece and not the piece I wanted swapped, because I requested the swap on the same day of the delivery [that's the kind of luck I got]. I was wrong, they showed up with the correct pieces. I was SUPER pleased! Got call from the delivery guy asked if 20 mins would be good for me and showed up in exactly 20 mins. They sent me a text when they arrived. It was two guys very professional, introduced themselves. Told them that I had two dogs but that they are behind a gate and not to be alarmed. They gave me no fuss about and no hesitation. They unloaded the set careful and respectful of the items I purchased. It wasn't one of those encounters where the delivery guy is in a rush to get it over with and move on. They took their time answered my questions. They were respectful of my property as the unloaded the set to ensure they didn't make any marks on the walls or anything. Called Kimbrells after they left and spoke with Jennifer so she can finalize refunding me difference of the pieces I swapped out. It was quick and smooth. She asked me how liked the set. Super friendly. Highly recommend Kimbrells to anyone looking to purchase furniture. Couldn't have asked for a...
Read moreI saw a bed on the Kimbrell's website that I was interested in. It showed in stock availability online at the Garner's Ferry Rd location so I drove over from Lexington to check it out. Upon arrival I walked around the store looking for the bed. A man whom I presume to be a laborer walked inside and hollered over to me asking what did I want. No professional greeting or simple hello. He again hollered out to some ladies near the back of the showroom telling them what I was looking for. A lady salesman approached me and like the laborer did not extend a warm greeting at all. She jumped right into talking about the item and summoned me to the other side of the showroom. When we arrived at the item it was a different color than what I was seeking. I asked her if they had the color I wanted so that I could look at it. She picked up a picture of it from a point of sale ad piece and said it looks like this. I explained that I was looking to see the actual item not a picture and she said with an attitude that it was in the warehouse in boxes and pointed to a completely different item and said that it would be similar to that color over there. I'm not sure what type of sales training Kimbrell's has implemented, but as someone who has worked 16 plus years in sales that was weak, unprofessional and disrespectful. If I am buying something of value and looking to confirm beforehand it meets my needs they should either accommodate that request or be able to tactfully and professionally explain why they can't. I wasn't in to buy a pair of gym socks. I was looking to purchase a queen bed. I'm not just going to buy something that may not meet my needs and have buyers remorse on a purchase that costs several hundred dollars. Perhaps the type of clientele they are accustomed to serving is fine with that type of treatment, but from my viewpoint it is totally unacceptable. Luckily I was able to find with a quick search that they aren't the only game in town with that...
Read moreThe older lady that works here is really kind but it just seems like the prices are gouged. I bought a mattress from here and they had it advertised for over $1,000 and I found it online for only $400. The lady that dealt with us was kind enough to price match it to the price we were viewing online. I’ve had my eyes on a couch here for awhile and i finally was going there to make a purchase and I checked online and found the sofa for 758 (Kimbrells was selling it for $899). I asked the lady would she do a price match and she said they only did physical quotes from other stores. I knew this was not the truth because of my previous purchase with Kimbrells where the online price match was honored. The lady claims she left to “verify “ what she said with another associate and she came back with the same answer. I honestly was offended and I felt as though they should have price modified that one sofa because I was buying the sofa, love seat, and insurance. It just seems like they don’t have the best customer service in mind. I definitely disappointed with Kimbrells after this...
