1yr later UPDATE: Still AWESOME! This place is still our undefeated sushi champion. We love the people and the food is always TOP TIER. Please keep it upā¤ļø

1 yr UPDATE: This place is still awesome. We get takeout often and they are on point every single time. I so appreciate the consistency guys. I love the flavors, portion sizes, roll combinations and friendly faces. Please keep it up guys. It is so appreciated.

OG: We have been here multiple times now so this is a review about consistency. They are on it. We have never had a problem with them. The sushi is wonderful, fresh, well prepared. We love so many of the rolls. You really cannot go wrong with any of them. Service is always friendly. We live really close to here and have even ordered take out and it was still superb! We really only go for sushi but the tofu yakisoba entree is SO good. Awesome salty umami flavor on the tofu and the noodles have a nice texture. Loved it. One thing though, gotta try the miso soup! It comes out piping hot but it is so good to have while eating the sushi. I love the combo. And they know how to make it, full of flavor, tofu and seaweed. A few rolls to absolutely try are: House roll, crunchy roll, snow crab roll, godzilla roll, red dragon.. just a few but really cannot go wrong! Place is always clean and the workers seem to be like a well oiled machine. We will continue...

Sumo was clean with a modern feel. This includes the restrooms. It is a smaller restaurant, so not much room to stand or sit when the place is busy. I suggest calling your food in and picking up. I waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered both Sushi and a chicken bowl which cost me $12.50. This is a great price for the amount of food. The rice was plain, so I wouldd suggest getting an extra sauce. The sushi was the star of the meal. Freshly prepared before my eyes and flavored well. I loved the shrimp tempura roll and went back the next day for another order.

The staff were nice. When my order was taken by another customer, the manager remade my order quickly and without any drama. Provided me a soda...

We came here because it’s relatively new and close to where we were staying. I ordered the teriyaki chicken yakisoba noodle dish and I got the pork dumplings as an appetizer. The pork dumplings were pretty good, you could tell that they are frozen/manufactured, but they were fried well and tasted great with the sauce that it came with. The chicken and vegetables were delicious! The yakisoba was very interesting, and had a strange aftertaste to me. This was more than enough food for me, and I got to take some home with me. I would definitely come...
