No 1 Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Columbia

I gotta update: This place is SOOOOO freaking good. got sesame chicken this time. man this is chinese takeout! Thank you so much for making this food this delicious! your egg rolls are awesome! crab ragoons delicious! just thank you!!

I ordered take out, thats the only option they have. The place wasn't anything special inside. BUT their customer service was on point! They know what they are doing. They were in sync. Really awesome to watch people that are good at their craft! The food was exactly what I was needing! Absolutely delicious. I LOVE the crab ragoons, please keep making them just like that!! The best I have had in YEARS. The mei fun was not too oily but not too dry, the perfect amount of veggies mixed in with it. The egg roll was. so. good. it wasn't greasy and it was loaded with flavor. Sweetnsour chicken was fried perfectly and the rice was also fried perfectly. Nothing felt too greasy or 'fake' tasting. I was pleasantly shocked at how flavorful and well prepared everything was! I've never been in such a place with the worst customer experience in my life the lady and her husband was so rude to me and my family when we were ordering simply because we asked for salt and pepper on our food they began to yell at us saying they don't have it to put on the food and as we continue to wait we ca hear them speaking badly about us saying we better not eat inside there restaurant and the husband kept making really loud spit noises I'm guessing as a sign of disrespect but we were made to feel so uncomfortable in this place simply for asking a question. We didn't even eat the food we purchased on the chance they did something to it and I will never go back to this place ever they need to do better as a place of business And as to you response just post the video that you say you have so people can see what really happened that day and everything that was said and the nastiness coming out...

UPDATE: August 2024...the young owner seems to have realized that great food ain't worth it if the service is bad. He has been nicer and thankfully his wife has been front of house the last couple times I went. I'd really prefer for this to be my only Chinese restaurant. Let's pray the respect and appreciation of loyal customers is enough to keep us coming back.

Y'all me and 3 other customers were in this restaurant at the same time discussing how poorly the young man who runs the restaurant speaks to his AA customers. We tried to provide him, respectful, real-time feedback. His response was "people disrespect and treat me poorly, so that's just how I am".

While the food is very good, you leave feeling dirty from his disrespectful treatment. Gotta ask yourself if it is even worth it, especially knowing the money is not staying in your community. Control...
