We recently hosted my mom’s surprise 60th birthday party at The Pastor’s Study, and it was absolutely perfect! This beautiful venue, tucked away in the heart of downtown Columbia, is truly a hidden gem. The natural charm of the space, with its view overlooking Main Street, created the perfect backdrop for a special evening.

The owner made the entire process so easy and stress-free. She provided everything we needed—tables, chairs, linens, lighting, a sound system, and a great selection of décor. We received so many compliments from guests on how gorgeous and fitting the space was for our celebration.

The venue is ideal for all kinds of events—weddings, parties, business gatherings, and more. The only downside is that access is limited to a steep staircase, which unfortunately prevented a few guests from attending. However, for those able to make it up, it was well worth it.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony AND wedding reception at The Pastor’s Study and we could not have imagined a better venue. It was intimate, warm, and full of the character only a beautifully maintained historical building can bring. Martha was a joy to work with, and now a joy to know, and it is evident when talking with her how much this venue is a labor of love. She cares for you and your guests like she does her own family. She SAVED our wedding reception when we had a vendor back out last minute (like, seriously, the day beforehand)!

From a practical standpoint—the venue offers seating, tables, linen, an awesome sound system, and romantic lighting. All for a STEAL compared to other venues available for weddings. This was the best experience of booking a venue that I have ever had. Ms. Martha was so personable, thoughtful and kind enough to allow us to have our event here. The price was excellent and I was even able to book last minute. Perfect amount of space for my 80 guests. Tables and beautiful chairs were included in the price as well. She even offered the chance for us to use her linens at our discretion. I look forward to using this...
