I was quite pleased. The cashier that checked me out was attentive, the cashier was not initially at the register, but she did open it and started checking customers out, once she saw a line gathering; however, her interpersonal skills can use some improvement. As for the cart process, I am from NY and I am used to this concept, since, in order to use the carts at Pathmark (Upnorth supermarket) customers needed a quarter to access the cart. Plus it ensure the supermarket's cart is returned. The food quality is great for portion size and prices are standard, compared to its competitors. Zero Stars. It was my 1st and last time at this location on Macon Rd. Their customer service and care with a customer's produce/groceries is despicable. Even though my teen had a bag open to put it into after being scanned and told the cashier we wanted to bag. Ignored and just kept scanning and throwing into the buggy. Groceries cost too much to be rough handled that way. Bad attitude the cashier had and Manager said literally to me /my teen this is Aldi and we have to have speed. Not very welcoming. Prices are good tho. Staff isn’t very friendly. I have been twice. The first time the cashier didn’t say anything to me as he sat in his chair eating. He was very impatient as he piled my stuff in the cart on top of someone else’s. The second time I went in the lady at the register said absolutely nothing. No “hi” “have a good day” nothing.
