If there was a way to give zero stars I would. My parents and my family went there for dinner and my father decided not to eat which was no problem because only those eating have to pay which was great however dont touch a fork for any reason if you dont intend to eat. They sat all 6 of us down at the smallest table barely big enough for 4 people during a time when the restaurant was not busy at all. After we all got our food the table was full. I sat one of my plates next to me which happened to be in front of my father. While I was eating from my other plate my father adjusted the fork that was sticking in my food to keep it from falling and our waitress saw him with it in his hand. She assumed it was his plate and said in perfect English he would be charged for the buffet. He told her he was not eating but that he just adjusted the fork on my plate but she said she saw him eat a mushroom so I asked to speak to the manager. While we were eating I asked for the manager several times but to no avail and in the meantime my father never took one bite. When it came time to pay the bill she had charged us for a buffet for my father. Again we asked for the manager. This time the manager came and refused to remove the charge because she chose believed that her employees. She said he should have never touched the fork. They started speaking in there native language and my mother told them to please speak in English. The manager lied and said the waitress didn't speak English. So after the manager and her employee both lied to us we asked the table next to us who had just paid their bill had they seen my father eat and they said no. Only after that and realizing that we were not going to pay for a buffet for my father did she finally agree to remove it. We paid our bill and left the waitress a tip befitting our experience with her, a whopping 1 penny. The restaurant and food were average therefore I hope this whole mistreatment of the customers was worth it because they have now lost any chance of repeat business from the 6 of us as customers and anyone we know. There are so many places like Hibachi Grill that we won't miss...
Read moreThe hibachi grill & supreme buffet is definitely one of the two of those things however a supreme buffet it is not. most of the steam tables are not kept at the proper temperature and your food is usually cold by the time you get back to the table at best it's lukewarm. they keep the seafood the closest to the proper temperature of course I'm allergic to most of it so I'll never know however my wife says it's days hottest the longest. but even then if you don't eat it but then 5 minutes it's cold. there was a decent selection of food there's nothing out of the ordinary if you compare it to any large or medium sized Chinese buffet you've ever been to in any state in any City. I think they have far too many choices of American food for a Chinese themed restaurant. the facility is very nice it's very clean well-kept and the service staff all on h1 visas from China are pretty attentive. however asking for anything out of the ordinary or off the menu and it usually throws them for a loop because their command of the English language isn't all that great. for example everytime I go I ask for a beverage without ice and without fail it comes to the table full of ice even though when I say no ice they shake their head and say yes okay and then I get ice. one great take away is actually the Mongolian grill a lot of people don't take advantage of it and I don't know why but it's probably the best thing going in the restaurant my only guess is why people won't use it is because most of the time they think you have to leave a tip which I do anyways but most people coming to a buffet aren't coming because you want to spend extra money. the person working the Mongolian grill does not expect to get a tip however they are cooking your food custom to order the way that you chose to have it made and so for that I will always give the person a dollar. The Mongolian grill is the best thing going in the restaurant. overall it's very nice place to go not that expensive very clean a good wait staff and places got enough seating that you usually don't have to wait very long even...
Read moreEverything was undercooked and cold. The only person that bothered to even say a word to us was the hostess that asked us what we wanted to drink. The fried dumplings were okay, bacon wrapped shrimp was undercooked, the fried shrimp was undercooked and tasted weird. The sweet and sour chicken still had uncooked cornmeal taste and texture, and the rice was just drenched in oil and sauce to the point that it wasn't even enjoyable with peas that were overcooked and hard. The sesame chicken has a very odd taste to it but was about the most edible thing on the menu besides the rolls (the first roll I had was great, the second was undercooked and doughy).
We only came here because my husband doesn't like the portions at our local chinese takeout place but even he was disappointed.
2 attempts at soup, both in which he took a single spoonful of and said no thanks, we both had the same problem with the bacon wrapped shrimp where the bacon wasn't fully cooked, and his beef and veg portion which is what he wanted was tasteless with huge pieces of veggies that weren't even cooked but were raw which isn't normal.
At checkout the girls behind the counter were to busy having a conversation to even acknowledge us, and for the bulk of our dinner we spent it listening to the wait staff yelling at each other.
Needless to say, the person that said they were coming home to cook at 10pm - we ended up grabbing fast food on the way back from walmart. It's true. Not sure if the rest of these reviews are legitimate or not because our experience was just as previously described by someone else almost...
