Came to check the hours, decided to comment, and explain what to expect.
Parking lot entry is absolute buttcheeks. Whoever designed the bottleneck entrance onto a busy road with consistent stoplight traffic deserves zero stars. I cook for myself, and each week I save about $40-50 compared to Market District. The convenience/location/cost is why I get groceries here. It’s clean, I’ve had good customer service now at 3 different Aldi’s I’ve lived by. +/- If you’re looking for your exotic butters, or organic squirrel milk, this ain’t the place. Produce section is mediocre. Go across the street or drive all the way to TJ’s or Whole Foods for that. This place won’t “wow” you with their products, or selection, but you’ll find most of what you need, and they have a few “special” or limited stock items that are pretty decent. May have to get a couple of items they don’t have elsewhere - like sesame oil, for me personally. The checkout system is also buttcheeks. Just go in the off-hours or expect to be chillin in line for a hot sec. The trade-off is that you’ll save a fair amount. Aldi is looking at addressing that in the future.
TLDR- In and out is a pain in the butt, it’s clean (being new), friendly staff, and cost efficient given the convenience of location. But they don’t have everything, selection...
Read moreFirst, I love Aldi. I’ve been shopping at this chain for years and years. This is probably the worst one I’ve ever been to. It’s all on the management, the workers are kind and helpful. Checkout here is so slow, doesn’t matter what time, what day. They are always out of something. And to top it off the produce here is hit or miss. And it’s not just a bag or two. Sometimes it’s the whole box of salad or peppers that are soft and changing colors. Unfortunately, it’s in a convenient location so it gets a ton of traffic but I drive over to Hilliard when I have the chance. Photo is from 9am (when they open)...
Read moreIt's an Aldi. If you're familiar with the chain, there aren't any big surprises. The layout of products deviates a bit from other stores, maybe some new updated research? There are no self checkout stations. That did surprise me at first, but I've read other retailers are or plan to phase them out due to theft and customer dissatisfaction. In today's world, my guess is you can't phase them out in some areas (high theft) and not others without some level of grief about it. The employees have been friendly...
