I ate a delicious lunch yesterday [9-8-2022] at FUSIAN Grandview [at 855 W. Fifth Ave. in the "Fifth by Northwest" neighborhood of Columbus].
FUSIAN Grandview sells (1.) "Signature Bowls and Salads" [where the customer chooses one of the four "already-decided" bowls or salads] and (2.) "custom-made" salads and bowls [where the customer chooses all of the ingredients "in real time"].
I had looked at the FUSIAN Grandview menu on-line -- in advance of my visit -- and had decided that I would order the following "Signature Bowl": Chicken and Rice Bowl [roasted chicken, cucumber, sweet pepper, carrot, tossed with creamy togarashi and house dressing; served over white rice with scallions, tempura crunch, and sesame seeds].
I am glad that I had decided in advance what I would order because the music at FUSIAN Grandview had been so loud that I had been unable to hear the voices of most of the people behind the counter. Even though my Chicken and Rice Bowl had been a "pre-decided" "Signature Bowl," I still had to answer as many as ten questions about which specific ingredients I wanted or did not want.
After several failed attempts at hearing the voices behind the counter, I decided to answer all of the questions "yes"; I soon received a delicious "Signature Bowl" without any additional effort on my part.
One of the things that I had particularly liked about my Chicken and Rice Bowl had been that the cucumber that had been used in that bowl had been cut into long narrow strips [kind-of like "shoestring fries" except that they had been perhaps one-quarter the size of "shoestring fries"].
I have never liked cucumber [particularly when it is cut into thick circular pieces which is the usual practice]; the "shredded cucumber" [which is not exactly the correct term] had been far easier for me to eat.
If you are in the "Fifth by Northwest" neighborhood of Columbus and are looking for a delicious bowl or salad or a custom-made bowl or salad, I strongly recommend...
Read moreFor my first ever visit, it will be my last to this location. When we entered the store and approached the counter, there was atleast 5 people across the back line, no other customers in the line. Zero acknowledgement for a few minutes so I walked down to the register and the young lady told me that we started where the rice was. We head back down and I made my order- 2 build your own rolls with white rice. They started on my first and as the line progressed, I got sent down to sauce area. I mentioned to this team member that I was also waiting on another roll. At this time my fiance also ordered 2 rolls which she received. After atleast 8 or so minutes of just standing there and everyone looking very confused, a young man chimed in that he made my 2nd roll. I told him that he didn't and he said well don't look at me, I'm just the middle man. At this point I was so upset that we paid for the 3 rolls and 2 drinks. The only person that was sincere was a taller Asian team member who kept saying sorry and that she wasn't sure where the miscommunication was. The two young people at the rice station need some serious customer service training skills. There was no excitement in their body language and no words used at all. Just stared at me, waiting for me to tell them what I wanted. The sushi was delicious but for the price and service, I will venture out to somewhere...
Read moreInteresting no response from owner. btw, they markup their prices on doordash even for pickup orders which most restaurants don't do that. so not only are you paying doordash fees and tip, you're also paying much higher prices. example, crispy shrimp roll is $10.85 on their website and $14.05 on doordash. at least if you're going to price gouge get the order right.
Ordered delivery from here for the first time. They forgot a main component of my order. While it was through a delivery service, I called them to ask for help and give an opportunity to make it right. Unfortunately restaurants never take this opportunity. Yes the delivery company is the one to provide a refund, but you could send me a gift card or do something since it was your mistake. I'm still a customer that can come into your restaurant. Too many restaurants just do nothing to make up for their mistake. Employee even commented that my missing item was really delicious. Great, thanks. Yeah I got my money back, but I still don't have dinner. Frustrating. Why don't you double check orders? Clearly I'm not the only one with this issue as it's mentioned in a...
