OfficeMax — Local services in Columbus

My surprise began with learning that OfficeMax still had a store in Columbus. I had gone to the place "that was Easy" but the workers were very reluctant to assist anyone. One older gentleman was so desperate for help that he confused mine and my associate's scrubs for "Easy" employees. We felt bad for not being able to help the old man.

After several attempts to get help at the place "that was Easy", we finally got to speak to some manager/shift supervisor whose body language betrayed her fake smile. We were looking for a shelving metal cabinet. They had nothing comparable in-store and she was not too happy to leave whatever it was she was doing to come and check on-line with her store tablet.

It was in her shewing us away that I decide to try Amazon or OfficeMax on-line. To my surprise, there was an OfficeMax only 8 minutes or so drive away on Hilliard-Rome Road in Hilliard. The treatment and customer service there was the absolute BEST! At least 3 to 4 different employees enthusiastically offered to help including the young man that ordered the items on-line for us. We were giving delivery date of Wednesday but the order arrived on Tuesday! How's that for excellence in...

Ordered online to print out a poster I created on canva. Have done this many times before but the Hillard location botched the order and did not cut my poster to the right size. This would not be an issue but I planned to insert the document in a frame. It didn't fit despite ordering the correct size and when asked to have it fixed and ready for pick up the next day, I was told no. Highly disappointed in the poor customer service and that it was not resolved with the customers needs and request at the forefront. Instead, I was told the document can't be recreated because it would be a waste of supplies when an OfficeMax employee made the error. The store is fine. The printing services are terrible. Over the last year I have had serveral printing jobs there and they are always messed up somehow. Last year I had the seating chart for my wedding done and they did such a poor job I had it redone elsewhere. I needed something easy printed, seriously one page so I placed an order online yesterday. I got a text and email saying they were ready yesterday at 3:30.
