I wasn't sure what to expect walking into the restaurant. Boy am I glad I did.

My wife and I love sushi, and we're always trying to find new places to try. It had been a long while; my wife recently gave birth to our second and she was craving sushi for her birthday. So, I looked up Wild Ginger and we took a ride.

Upon entering, you can tell how clean and neat the establishment is kept. A very friendly host greeted us and promptly sat us to a booth. The restaurant was quiet after the early rush. The look and feel was very warm and inviting. Our server was very knowledgeable and made excellent suggestions for us to try. The attentive service staff made sure we were completely taken care of. A+ service.

After making some choices, we went with Crispy Almond Shrimp to start. Very unique, flavorful, and well cooked. I recommend them if they're on the specials list.

We chose 3 rolls to start; Black Dragon Roll, Philadelphia Roll, and the Lonely Angel that was on special. The food arrived promptly, and was a sight. A very well decorated plate garnered our beautiful meal. All was delicious, balanced, fresh, and had deep flavors. We knew immediately we would get two more, Four Seasons and Sweetheart. Again, beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious. We chose a Reisling wine to pair with our meal, as I recommend you do too.

Overall, we were amazed at the service and food. This will be a staple for date nights to come. If you love sushi, do yourself a favor and visit Wild Ginger. You'll be...

My friend took two bites of her food, didn’t like it (poorly seasoned and had way too much breading/fried part), and so we told the waitress and she was like “well you ordered it…” 🤷‍♀️

Clearly, this place needs a lesson on empathy and customer service. I own a business myself and if any of my customers were to ever say they didn’t like the quality of my service, I would apologize and ask them how I can make things better for them. That is called good customer service! Saying “well you ordered it” is basically like saying “that’s not my fault, sounds like a you problem”. When I approached the server about how we didn’t appreciate her response to our concern, she still showed no empathy and had nothing redeemable to say except that “the cost of food right now is high, so you have to make sure to read things over twice before ordering so you know what to expect.” I get that, but if food comes out and it’s different from our expectation (which it was in this case!!), the restaurant should do SOMETHING to make the experience better for the customer.

First time going AND last. They just lost a customer who would’ve been pretty loyal if the place was decently run since I do love me some Asian food! Just be cautious, you better like what you order, cause they don’t do comps or refunds, and should you be dissatisfied, they will gaslight you into thinking it’s your fault and your fault...

The Wild Ginger is one of those hidden gems that you find in the least expected places. Tucked away in a strip center between a B Dubs and a GameStop, Wild Ginger offers an experience that comes in an unexpected package.

It starts when you walk in and are greeted by the manager, every time, with a warm greeting welcoming you to his restaurant. You are escorted to your seat; table, booth or bar and immediately are greeted by your server. The atmosphere is set by the decor, the leather bound menu and the faint Asian music playing overhead.

The chefs in the kitchen are second to none. Once your order is in, they prepare it with such skill that each visit you can taste the slight nuances in the prep and who is cooking it, yet it is the same delicious meal. It's not pre-packaged food that they dump out of a plastic bag into a wok. Their presentation is as phenomenal as the food is, as you can surely see from my sushi picture.

I can't recommend this place enough, and have routinely driven across town to eat at this fine establishment. Well worth the trip and at a fair price, you can eat your fill and not break the bank. Happy hour specials on sushi rolls during the week as well, make this place a must for lovers of...

I walked in and immediately felt an off vibe. Regardless, I pushed through and sat down. Although there were open booths between other customers and bar seating, I was seated by myself far away from the other patrons. I ordered the Dinosaur egg because it sounded interesting; it was rather disappointing. Too many flavors competing to present themselves to the palate. For my drink, both times I got a sprite, the syrup was missing so they had a machine issue. The rolls I got were a mixed experience. The one with shrimp tempura was good. Nice balance of flavors, decent sauce, and well prepared. The POPCORN SHRIMP roll however treated extremely soggy. No real flavor stood out. It was just a mushy cushion for the popcorn shrimp. For about 50 bucks didn't feel worth it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cool, would've given it a 5 if half the patrons in there didn't look at me like I drank from the wrong water fountain.

I ordered online. I purchased 3 rolls, California, asparagus and an eel roll. The taste was fine, pretty much like every other place I have ordered these types from. The issue I had was I spent almost 24.00 for the three rolls which is the same as most other places, but I don't think I have seen any rolls as small as these were. When I picked up it the bag was very light that I should have opened it up right there but I didn't. I got in my car and opened it up and was very suprised. All 3 rolls were in one container which the container was the size of your basic sushi container like at the supermarket. I have never seen any roll that tiny, anywhere! The taste was fine, nothing new or better than any other. Generally, I can get 2 or 3 rolls from anywhere and my wife and I get our sushi fix. Disappointing. (Nickel on photo for size ref)
