I got scammed here!!! I purchased a ring for around $2,200 a year ago and it had a promotion for 0% interest for 12 months. I've been making all my payments in order to pay it off, and last month in January, the 12 month period ended. I had payed majority of it off with my balance only being $100. Now I came to look at my account to finish paying it off and find there's a $500 interest charge?!? I was shocked to see this, and as I searched for the cause, I found hidden in the statements that if I did not pay it off within the 12 months that they would charge me interest on the original price of the ring. When I purchased this at the outlet store, I was not notified of this ( I would of glady paid it off sooner if I was). I didn't even know this type of interest charge was possible! As all my other credit cards have only charged me interest on the balance due. And after over an hour of jumping through calls on their customer service phone line, they just told me too bad, there's nothing they can do. Now I will admit I should of looked at the statements from this account, but you have to understand, I'm a full time college student, and part time worker. I don't have time to go through all of my financial information. And now I have to take a $500 Accountability bill as a result. This whole system seems very predatory, as they do not notify you of this crazy interest charge in store. I paid off my balance, and closed my account immediately. And I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ZALES AGAIN. They seem nice in store, but there customer service is grossly underwhelming. They would rather lose a customer that would of spend thousands of dollars in the future, rather than waive a fee that I didn't even know about....
Read moreMy purchase experience was fairly mediocre, the staff was just interested in showing me jewelry without explaining much. Luckily I had some base knowledge and a friend with me to assist. The prices were reasonable and their protection plan seemed reasonable (I'll get back to this), so I made a purchase. Unfortunately when I picked it up my jewelry staff was busy helping others. Bei acknowledged my presence about after 10 minutes of me lingering around, but at first I thought it was understandable, short staffed. I informed him I was there for pick up and he took ld me that they would assist me. Fine, no problem I thought. The store was very slow, and I was the only person that needed assistance, before I knew it Bei was already assisting someone that had just walked in! Showing them jewelry, explaining, etc. another 10 minutes go by and then he asks for my receipt to pick up, all while still tending to other customer who got there after me. He continues to assist and completely leaves me waiting for a few more minutes. When the customer left I informed him it was quite rude to assist someone else when I had already been waiting previously. Once he was helping me it took about 5 minutes to get my stuff, but I patiently waited about 30 minutes overall. To add insult to injury I was given a brown paper bag, but the previous customer received a nice logo black bag, what's the deal??? Unfortunately, I bought the protection plan, so I'll have to revisit this store probably in the future for any cleaning or maintenance, hopefully I can find another location though. Regret my purchase.

Read moreBy far the worst experience ever. I purchased a special order wedding ring in August 2018, the salesperson said 6 to 8 weeks. I was willing to wait, afterall my partner of 10 years and I decided to finally tie the knot and we thought we could wait for our perfect ring set. 6 weeks came and went, no call no ring. 8 weeks after the purchase date, I called the store and no one knew anything about my order. They promised the sales person would call us with an update but the call never came. Left several messages for the manager, kept getting the run around. I was told the ring was held up in customs, apparently it was coming from China?! Then, it was held up with the designer, and I was promised a call from the designer. Again, Seriously it was only a special ring size not a whole new design. The designer called and said, it always takes at least 3 months for a custom size. Our wedding came and went still no ring, fed up I called to cancel and magically 4 months later my ring was finally ready. I went to pick up my ring, and the manager had absolutely no compassion, said sorry but with a shrug and annoyed face. He said I can't change the past, I can only apologize. I don't need an apology, all I wanted was for someone to take responsibility for all the lies and time wated. After spending thousands of dollars, I still love my ring but hate the drama Zales put us through....
