Pieology is a a pretty great pizza chain — I had it for my first time at the citadel outlets because they looked really good. It reminds me of Blaze Pizza — in terms of their kitchen and the way they firm their lines and make their pizza. I think pieology has slightly better quality crust than blaze, having tried both only once before and going off of my first impression. Pieology has two different kinds of crusts - thin crust and the thick raised crust, we got the fire grilled bbq chicken thin crust pizza this time. It was good - warm, fresh, oven heated and made on the spot. Honestly for a chain and outlet food court this was really good! There was a hiccup though — I asked for the pizza to not have bbq sauce, because I feel like bbq sauce tends to be overdone on the pizza and i prefer it with less and I didn’t want the pizza to be smeared with a ton of bbq sauce so I asked for none instead of ‘just a little’ to make the hassle less. I felt like this was a valid request and the lady who made my pizza said they could accommodate that which was nice. However after 10 minutes we went back the pizza had a bbq sauce on it; it was a little too much over the pizza (in my opinion) otherwise I would’ve just taken it. They said they could remake it for us but the guy who took back our pizza made a comment to the cashier and it made us uncomfortable because of the tone / attitude. They mentioned that the pizza clearly says ‘bbq chicken’ so of course there’d be bbq sauce, but I had specifically asked for no sauce. I think they were just annoyed but the exchange was really uncomfortable and did not give off the best customer service vibes. I understand their view point but it was overall just an awkward and uncomfortable situation and they did remake it but it influenced my review for this location...
Read moreThis review is directed towards the most racist and rudest pathetic "dough maker" named "Naz."
The first time I tried, it was definitely not worth my energy, time, and mostly my money. This is a customizable pizza place where you get to choose toppings. Since it was the first time, instead of doing all that crazy customizing of toppings, I decided to order what's on the menu. The dough maker was very rude. We chose from the menu, and not only did she ask us twice about what we ordered, but she then said, "Okay. Any flavor?" I didn't know what she was talking about, and I figured that I could choose to put butter and garlic on my dough. How was I supposed to know about that? Her name is "Naz." She was not only rude but also racist at the most. Perhaps she was mad at the fact that she's working tonight while everyone else is on Thanksgiving break shopping. That's right. You're working on Thanksgiving because you need money, and if you work with that attitude, there's only so much you can achieve in any career. "Naz," this short black-haired witch-looking bish. The whole store staff is either dumb or rude. And pizza? Below mediocre. Seven-Eleven pizza would be...
