During my last visit, I asked an employee (after searching for someone for 10 mins) of the pricing of an item was correct because it looked too good to be true. He confirmed the price & I proceeded to check out. My mistake was not double checking that the cashier did their job correctly since each item was actually charged 5Xs more than the listed price. In returning the items, the cashier was not properly trained in how to process the return & so kept calling to the manager in store called Jeff. This man was rude, condescending & unprofessional to both his employee & myself when asking him questions.
Jeff proceeded to refer customers in line to other registers (employees came out of the wood works), leaving an older gentleman behind me to wait. This man waited 10-15 mins while the cashier tried to figure out how to return me my money, something Jeff was not helpful in. The gentlemen behind me eventually called Jeff out for neglecting to help him instead of allowing him to go to another register to pay prior to other customers; Jeff had the AUDACITY to yell at this older gentlemen, obviously projecting his frustration into him like he did with the cashier.
This situation could had been prevented had Jeff properly ensure that listed prices where in fact correct. Advertising a bag of potatoes for $0.79 when they’re truly $5.79 started a chain of events that as manager is his responsibility. Jeff showed horrible leadership which obviously affects the moral of his staff as well as the experience...
Read moreCustomer service at this Aldi is seriously going downhill, and I’m clearly not the only one who’s noticed. (Derrick), in particular, has a horrible attitude. I asked him a simple question about where to find marinade, and instead of just answering like any decent employee would, he acted like I was a huge inconvenience. No eye contact, no effort—just straight-up dismissive. If helping customers is such a burden, why even work here?
Then at checkout, the cashier—who, by the way, looks like a Temu version of NBA star Cade Cunningham—didn’t offer me a bag. But funny enough, he did offer one to the woman ahead of me. When I asked for a bag, instead of just handing me one like a normal person, he made it a point to tell me I’d have to pay. I shop here all the time, but the way Derrick and this cashier act is making me reconsider. Seeing other reviews call out Derrick just confirms that I’m not alone in this experience. Aldi needs...
Read moreThe products here or not the best. You could find some produce that are organic and the bread is ok , but that’s about it. The chips are not tasty. The deli section is questionable. The meat is a big no! Do not buy the meat there ! The milk and eggs are good. I’ve notice that mostly everything is Italian or danish around the refrigerated and freezer area , it’s ok but not everyday cooking products . The first time I went which was at night , I was professionally and kindly checked out by a young man . The second time , it was also at night and almost closing time . A young lady was very rude and careless . She put all of my bread under heavy items . Good thing I searched for it as she was tossing my food into the basket. I had to change my bread because she crushed it. Next time I go I will be looking for her face to get her name and will report her...
