I am sorry to say but Ken did not live up to the expectations that he set for himself. We hired him to play for my sisters wedding and had met with him twice prior to that day. Each time we talked for over an over (very long) about what songs we were going to play, etc. We actually didn’t have that many questions but most of the duration of the meetings were spent on him validating his DJ and MC experience. We were a little annoyed by it but we still went with him because the package with the magic mirror and the nimbus machine seemed nice. (He also tried to talk us into the monogram as well but thank God we didn’t wind up paying for that too) Now let me talk about the day of the wedding... First of all he was not able to see what was happening during the ceremony, and though he said he would have his assistant “signal” him when to play, there were still very awkward gaps and pauses while we waited for the music to start playing and stop playing at different times throughout the ceremony. Okay, so maybe DJ’s don’t do ceremonies often, fine. But unfortunately it just got much worse from there. Apparently, he forgot his “itinerary” for the day (he said he left it in his other car I wonder if he actually made one at all) and before the bridal party was about to make their entrance into the reception, he was asking the bride and groom what songs they wanted him to play during different things. The first dance, the walk in song, other bridal party members walk-in songs, and more. This was completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. It gets worse... throughout the ceremony he addressed people incorrectly saying the “grooms father” was going to give the welcome speech when it was actually the bride’s father who was giving the speech. He also called the officiary, our Pastor, by the wrong name when he called him up to say a prayer. Later when he was supposed to play the slideshow which was created on YouTube, he said he could not play the audio, only the video, so his idea was to just play music through the sound system separately, which was annoying because the music didn’t match up to the timing of the video. Also, after the slideshow was over he let it replay which was frustrating and confusing for the guests! Oh, and that magic mirror? The quality was not the best and during a meeting when I asked if there was a backdrop or if the mirror could be turned so the wall would be the background, he said that the reception would be nice enough as the background of the photos. I wish I didn’t listen to this, it looked awful in the photos and you could see random people walking by or waiting in line to get their picture taken as well. He actually had the nerve to tell my mother, the mother of the bride, “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I think I need to go to the hospital.” This was of course after his numerous amount of mistakes. Needless, to say the 5 stars he has on google is deceiving and it is not an accurate depiction of his services. I’m sorry Ken but as you said, the music makes the wedding, and in this case we had to rely on other things to pull...

Ken was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He was recommended to me by a family member and shortly after I met him at a Bridal Show. I was overwhelmed by all the planning, but Ken was very personable during our first phone call he made the process effortless. I had a package which included DJ and Photobooth. Ken was able to set up payment arrangements to make the expense more manageable. I had several surprises for my fiancee and family throughout the ceremony & wedding and Ken worked with me to coordinate the music and presentation of the planned events. (We had an Elvis impersonator during our ceremony which none of the guests knew about, a groom's cake AND a 75th Birthday Cake for my dad). Ken was helpful through it all!! Several things that were important to me were:

1. A sound system for the ceremony. Quite often, you cannot hear what the officiant, bride, groom or readers are saying because they are not equipped with a system to accommodate these needs. Ken has the ability to have a set up dedicated to the ceremony a part from the system for the reception.
2. Payment Plan: this was perfect for us and made the wedding expense manageable for us. Ken made the arrangements easy and affordable in the long run.
3. Fun photobooth: I was not expecting the booth to be as much fun as it was for our guests. The booth had an attendant the whole time, and provided a memory book and link to all the pictures from the evening. I was not expecting either! As the bride, & groom, we were running around trying to talk to our guests, we didn't get to see how much fun all our guests were having! 4)Vibo App: Ken provided a link to a Vibo app where you pick your songs, music for all your dances/requests or "do not' play list. You can even upload playlists from apps like Spotify. This made it easy to pick playlists and list our requests. If Ken didn't have a particular song, he was able to download especially for our event.

My overall experience was very positive! I would recommend AND use Charismatic Entertainment in the future for any other...
