We reserved this venue for lunch after our wedding rehearsal; my now-husband is Indian, so we thought it would be nice. When I was ordering my food the waiter asked what spice level I wanted and I said, "1, not spicy at all because I have acid reflux" and that was it. I get my food and it's burning my throat, and then he decides to tell me all the chicken dishes cooked in the tandoori oven are pre-marinated and are medium (3) heat, and it would have taken 30 minutes to cook it fresh. I told him that would have been great to know before I ordered it, and I would have waited but now did not have time because we had ziplining reservations for my bachelorette party. So he brings me a menu and I ask about other food and he basically says everything is pre-marinated and spicy except chicken curry. I tell him I don't eat chicken curry and I just want seasoned chicken--nothing in a sauce, but he insists this will be fine. I get it, and it is chicken sitting in a thick sauce (aka curry) which I personally would not touch with a ten foot pole. So I ended up not eating anything all day on my bachelorette party until night time. Also, my wedding party agreed this place had some of the worst naan we've ever tasted. So overall, super disappointed and I have no idea how they have such a high...
Read moreThis place has a great ambiance and is always clean - nothing out of place. Very curteous staff who ask a lot of questions and provide suggestions for customers who are new to the cuisine. They do some custom requests too and we take total advantage of it. For example: they have 2 restaurants and we have been going there for a looooong time. They no longer serve a "Paneer Bhurji" on the menu but if you ask them if it is available, they will make it for you. They are not just a place for dine-in but also a great place for carry-outs. They are always on time and even though I have an occasional bad experience (that they worked to correct), they are perfect most of of the time.
They have a great buffet though it may be a tad bit over-priced due to the lack of similar cuisine close by. The bar scene is a little bit odd since it is fully stocked but not many people there - and I don't think they have a certified bartender - the owner or the waiters do that task.
Overall, great restaurant and ambiance. Its always been our go to place and I don't see it changing...
Read more7 days a week a great buffet spread; not to mention the delectable desserts and very friendly staff. There is one little thing that, I believe, many Indian restaurants could offer that, I believe, it would be gratifying to their clientele and that is to have paper towels easily available. Because their kitchen carries a lot of stews - some being more spicy than others - having paper towels easily accessible or available to would come very handy. I'm sure that the patrons would greatly appreciate this convenience. I know from myself that I feel more comfortable wiping my hands or mouth with a paper towel first, before, if ever, I make use of the nice cloth towel that is provided with the utensils. As a matter of fact, I hardly ever make use of that towel to wipe my mouth or fingers with because I'd...
