California Tortilla — Restaurant in Concord Township

In the area for the day I was not going to bother with lunch but I did at least look at Google to see what was out there just in case. When I read the reviews I decided to go ahead and give them a try as most reviews were quite favorable. I was not sure exactly what to expect since I have never been here before but when I walked in I saw that it appeared to be similar to another burrito restaurant that I went to several years ago but have not been back to as it was not near an area I frequent. Not knowing what to order I decided to just make my own burrito with what sounded good and had it not been for the fact that I got it to go I think it would have been quite good rather than just okay. The reason I think it would have been better had I eaten there is that they have this large assortment of sauces in varying levels of heat as well as other tastes. Not knowing what to get I grabbed some of two different ones but had I stayed I could have sampled several. If in the area I might be back but it might depend on what I feel like eating that day or if I even feel like eating. If I do come back it will be with the intentions of eating in so I can sample several...

I’ve been pretty disappointed in this place for a while now. Tonight, I ordered a meal for my grandmother and I and went to pick it up. Got home without checking the bag and they forgot to put in the 20 oz Coke we ordered. Called and asked for a refund - they told me they would refund the entire order and recharge me for the order without the coke, but were unable to give me any type of receipt or proof after the recharge. So without sitting and watching my grandmothers account for several days, we may have been charged twice. They also told me I could come back and pick it up (I had already driven 15 minutes to pick it up… I’m not turning back around for a soda). Additionally, every. Single. Piece. Of packaging was open and spilling on the inside of the bag. It was a MESS. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I used to love coming here but can honestly say I’m going to not come back. Staff on the phone sounded as if they had no idea what to do and even heard one staff member say audibly “can someone else deal with this? I just can’t. I don’t know what to do and I just CANT”. Very unprofessional....

Absolute Kitchen Nightmare. They should close down.

Only 1 girl working running all the positions at the same time trying her best.

Fruit flies that were huge and all over the drinks and hot sauce and throughout the restaurant, the amount of flies was extreme.

They have missing inventory by the drinks, no straws but replaced with dollar store bendy straw that are loose in the basket without a sanitary cover so all the stress touch eachother or could be landed on by flies.

No to go lids, and I spilled the open hot sauce in transit. Totally dropped the ball on their supply ordering.

The food was disgusting. I got their signature burrito. The chicken was barely chopped and in large chewy pieces and I couldn't eat the food after few bites it was terrible. I really hope I don't get sick...

Management totally dropped the ball on this location, and I've been coming since they opened.

Hoping they will close up, step aside and let a proper more passionate restaurant open in its place. It's waste of space and not cheap rent. And it's never busy, they never have customers. People know...
