Carolina Asthma & Allergy Center - Concord — Local services in Concord

The doctors, nurse practictioners, receptionists at the concord office are great. However, I gave a 3 stars due to the phone system and the patient portal the office utilizes, which I'll describe. When you call the office the phones roll to a Charlotte office answering service. There is typically a very long and extensive wait (can be 28 +in line sometimes so don't plan on getting help on your lunch break). There is one specific lady that answers the phone I've gotten twice who is confrontational and rude. She interrupts and has come out and told me how wrong I am on some things. I eventually complained on her. Others are pleasant. The portal is pointless. You can see your name and the date you visited but that's basically it. It does not show your past office notes. So if you have a question about your visit you have to call (and wait in line) or you can send a message and wait for them to respond (which may take up to 2-3 days according to the manager I spoke with. It's just not an effective/functional patient portal. I've gone to this facility for years for my allergy shots. However now that my needs require more attention I'm seeing how ineffecive the portal is/phone system is. I am highly considering changing and am looking for an alternative location as I'm too busy to work with a facility that is ineffective in...

My first visit with Carolina Asthma and Immunology Clinic went very from the moment at check in.. The entire staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional!! Dr. Errington took his time getting to know me and listen to all my questions and concerns.. I had the referring physicians lab notes on my phone and was able to share them, so that Dr. Errington could explain what that visit would entail and possibly what our treatment options would consist of.. The lab technician was wonderful very friendly and had patience, because I’m normally really difficult to stick.. And since that first visit they have called and gave me test results and have already set me up for another lab and vaccine appointment!! I was really impressed with everyone that I had contact with and even phone conversations!! This seems to be a clinic that cares for their patients and helping them feel their best managing their treatment, I look forward to experiencing the same feeling to help manage me...

I've been going to the Concord office for about a year. Saw Dr Errington initially and he took the time to listen to what was going on and make recommendations. Started seeing Chad Ellis went I needed a quick appointment and Chad also took a lot of time to listen, understand, explain and troubleshoot. It was also very helpful to see him quickly when you can't breathe. Every time I see Chad he always takes to time work on my situation. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Sometimes the shot room line is backed up, but it moves as fast as you can expect when there's no way for them to know how many people are going to come at a given time. Sometimes there's hardly anyone in line. I definitely recommend Chad Ellis and Dr Errington and the Concord location based on my experience. All the other doctors in 3 counties for the past 15 years just said "You have asthma, here's an inhaler to take the rest of your life", they were $400.00 each, and twice a year I still had the...
