First, this food was freaking delicious! Second, the menu has tremendous home-cooked variety, which means I will never get menu boredom at this resturant. The young man who took our order, possibly the son, and the young lady who filled our order, possibly the daughter (got the impression it was a family business) took such pride in describing the menu items to us; they even gave us free samples of those amazing aqua frescas, which we slurped down with ease. Back at home, we noticed they gave us a complimentary small aqua fresca flavor that we ended up buying on our second visit in the two weeks I was in the Concord area. On both take out and delivery, our food was hot, delicious, authentic and beautifully plated, rendering me all the more happy to be eating there again! All three of us devoured our tacos and our chips, salsa and chorizo queso without hesitation. This food here is freaking awesome! I cannot wait to dine in this nicely decorated resturant when COVID allows and when I am back in N.C. They even left me this note (pictured) in my delivery bag. This family is proud of their heritage and loves to spread that joy through the innocence of sharing their culture's food with us. Thank God they do it so very well! Four weeks later and back north, I wanted to be sure to remember to write this very important resturant review for Tacos El Peladito who makes dining...
Read moreSo delicious, with lots of choices., and attentive, friendly staff. Our first visit but we will be back!
We loved the agua frescas— sweet, refreshing and homemade! The salsa was mild, super fresh and had a great flavor. We ordered the quesachorizo and ate the entire bowl with their fresh house made chips. The quesabirria is amazing—thick with cheese and birria, and so big you can share. Served with consumme and limes, it’s juicy and decadent. We tried the tacos al pastor, carnitas, chicken a la plancha and cabeza (beef cheek). Tacos are served authentically, with onion and cilantro and with limes, radishes and onion on the side. The chicken is seasoned perfectly, and the meats were all tender and flavorful. The different salsas with the tacos are all delicious with varying levels of spice —I mixed and matched. We also got a torta, which was huge and stacked with meat and toppings. We couldn’t finish it all, but still ordered fruit with tajin —watermelon, mango, strawberries, grapes—which was a perfect end to a hot day. Can’t wait to come back and try more options—including the...
Read moreTotally traditional Mexican food. The tacos are street sized and yummy with 12 different meat options. My daughter hates quesadilla with chicken and she scarfed these down. My son hates guacamole and he hogged it all up. My son is 11 and ended up eating 5 tacos to my 3 - so good. Try the choriqueso dip with chips. The guacamole is chunky and outta this world. Only drawback is no margaritas or cerveza. They were practicing distancing for indoor dining which is good. They also have free authentic Mexican candies to try before you leave like tamarind fruit roll up and marzipan. They are family owned and so nice. My wife got a dish that was too spicy for her and they switched it out at no charge. We took care of them on the tip since it was our fault but I thought that was...
