PARENTS OF DISABLED OR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN SHOULD KNOW: you’ll get a small discount for your child with special needs. However, that’s as far as the accommodations go. We visited today with my 3 year old daughter and 2 year old son with Spina Bifida. He cannot walk and is in a wheelchair. We were told the “rules” when we arrived, one of which was “no adults allowed on the inflatables.” I was surprised to hear this since I’ve been to other places and this hasn’t been the case, but that’s fine. I ask that me or my husband be allowed to assist my son on the inflatables as needed so that he can go down the slides- he literally can’t walk or climb the ladders. I chose this play place because we can’t do a lot of parks due to his disability, but a bouncy place is somewhere he can typically play safely along with his siblings and peers. The staff told me that they would not accommodate one of us helping him on the inflatables because other parents might not understand. (Note that there were a total of 4 other children there during our visit). They had to stick to their rule. I said, “surely other parents will understand since my son can’t walk and theirs can. I saw on your website you gave discounts to special needs children so I expected you would be more accommodating.” If it weren’t for my oldest child already being told this is what we were coming to do as a family, I would’ve left right then. We decided to stay and my son was able to do a few of the activities and he had fun. However I feel obligated to let other parents of special needs children know, that you won’t be allowed to accompany your child on the inflatables. I was told “if no one else was here” they would allow it, so it has nothing to do with the sturdiness of the inflatables and everything to do with what “other parents might think from our previous experiences.” I was told that if my son couldn’t do certain activities without help, my $4 could be refunded. Thanks a lot- but I didn’t bother. The facility was clean. My children had fun. There was no staff present in the play area to ensure child safety - which was fine since we were monitoring it for ourselves. This facility should consider wristbands for parents of special needs children to wear that enable them to access the inflatables if necessary to assist their children and make it truly accessible for them. They can update their signs to reflect that stipulation. Or they could have a certain day or time of the week where parents AND theirs special needs children can have exclusive access to the facility. Or they could have adults sign waivers to prevent lawsuits due to injury, just like we do for our children. It’s a fun place for a reasonable price, but we were very disappointed in how staff handled...
Read moreThis is a good inexpensive way to have you children get rid of some energy. My 6 year old son was able to enjoy himself for 2 hours. It would be a 5 star if they did a rotation of the inflatables. It's only 5 ones, and they are quite large & high with slides- for older coordinating children. You do have a hard time keeping your eye on your child at all times also with the actual way the jumpers are just made (A concern when a smaller younger slow child encounters a larger rowdy older child(ren). After 45 minutes my child became more interested in running around playing tag & other games inside - which isn't safe - but he didn't want to leave. There was only one smaller jump house where kids could just jump instead of do an obstacle course, but it was 1 of 2 jumpers that was for children 3 yrs & younger. Why there isn't a jumper like this with an attendant to monitor is beyond me. My son kept asking to go just go jump but couldn't. Another grandparent atopped & commented to me several times how smart it was for me to have brought my own chair because he wish he had one as he was feeling the pain of having to be standing & constantly moving to see and watch his granddaughter. I had brought in my folding camp chair for comfort & ease of moving so I could be near each jumper my son was on to get the best view on him.If they added an older kids jump house, maybe put some monitoring cameras over the obstacle jumpers & got some decent chairs/ more of them in convenient places that allowed you to watch your children-this would be a much better experience for...
Read moreI've been taking my daughter here for many years to play simply because it's the only place of its kind right in this area. She always has a great time playing but as a parent, I think this place is horrible & disgusting. All three stalls in the bathroom were extremely dirty with feces smeared on the walls in some places. There was toilet paper in only one stall & the soap at the sink was empty. I needed to change my infant son but there was no way in hell I would lay him down on the changing pad they had in that bathroom; there's no telling how long it's been there & if the stalls themselves were that disgusting, then I'd hate to think how much bacteria that foam changing pad was harboring. I opted to walk all the way to the food court bathroom to change my son instead. If I had been a parent paying good money to host a party there, then I would've raised hell about those disgusting bathrooms. I've always been told that you can tell a lot about the cleanliness of a restaurant or establishment by the cleanliness of the bathrooms & if this is any indication of how their food prep area is, then I will never eat anything there again. I also noticed in the food prep area, employees left their personal items, including jackets, phones & purses lying on a table on which food was prepped. In addition, some of the play equipment, such as the basketball inflatable, are in bad shape & should be replaced. I guess since they don't care enough to keep their bathrooms decent though that they definitely don't...
