I came here for my daughter’s junior prom after a client recommended. I can see we’re they can be great but you as the consumer have to be very aware! I made an appointment for mid February for a May prom. Found my daughter’s dream dress and purchased. She was never measured only asked bra size (big mistake) the dress she loved did not fit so assumed the correct size was ordered. Nope! I was told the Sherry Hill dress will be in in two weeks. 4 weeks later I call to check in and it was “just received “ I come in the dress does not fit, not even close! The same size was ordered that did not fit in person and as I’m freaking out looking at the receipt “no measurements “ was written and circled!! Why?!? I didn’t want that!! No one said don’t measure my daughter! As we are panicking because the dress is sold out the manager says she will alter it for free we agree because she loves the dress, fast forward I wanted the dress by April 10th a month from now and a month before prom so we can scramble if this altered dress is awful. I call the day of pick up to see if we can come earlier than 4pm and I’m told the dress is still not finished?!? They have had it for a month. 4pm we pick up dress and the modified dress fits and looks ok but definitely not the fit we wanted. Prom comes, she looks amazing but at the end of the evening it has a hole starting in the knee that does not have the slit because it’s way to tight at the bottom and too loose up top from modification. Way too much nonsense for a $600 dress. We’ll be going elsewhere for her senior prom! Make sure your daughter is measured and you look at the designers sizing and be a part of the decision. Reviews are important for people to know what they may expect and for businesses to improve. This dress shop is the worst! They charge astronomical prices and then want to charge sometimes equal the amount in alterations. We ordered a dress in January for a prom in March- were told there were many in stock and that shipping would be 7-10 days. Completely reasonable; however every 2 weeks we called in - no dress. 1st time they said. It was ordered and said shipped and on its way. 2nd time they said it was ordered and probably in the back not unpacked. 3rd time they said not in back. It is still on its way and would be here by a specific day. That day past. I called a final time now just one week away from the event. No dress. I asked for a tracking ID. I received a screenshot from a computer texted to me. I then took the Tracking ID and entered it myself into tracking. When details popped up it showed that the dress was ordered/shipped from over seas just 2 days prior and was still in customs!!! Customs?!!!? I was furious. They probably made well over $300 or more on this dress!!

It finally arrived in time. However. Just a last note. They charge for each and every little thing and tax you on shipping!!! And make you sign over your first born on a contract to protect themselves from anything going wrong.

Absolutely amazing! A family friend had recommended gesinees and a few other places to me and Gesinees was our last stop. For months, I have been searching for that perfect prom dress! Online, in store, and even custom making. I went in with my guard up because none of the stores had dresses I could actually try on in store. The women were extremely nice and helpful! They gave me my color rings and my mom, my dad, and I went searching! My mom found a dress in my size and thought it would be nice to try on. And do you know, that the first dress was the dress that I fell in love with! Everyone in the store was in awe and that's when I knew, this is it! Completely in love! I felt so beautiful standing there! The most stressful process had then been turned into the most amazing process! Thank you to everyone in gesinees! I HIGHLY recommend them! They really care about you and finding the right dress! And to me, that is so important! They have enough people in there to help everyone, so you're not left wondering what to do while awkwardly standing around and looking at other girls...
