My 4 year old loves to play here on rainy days, so we have gone twice now. 2 main negatives IMO: 1/3 of the overall space is filled with machines that require you to spend more money for the kids to have fun & you must exit the space & walk pretty far to access any bathrooms. Having to get his shoes back on and off and walk to a mall bathroom every time there's a need to potty is definitely a huge negative when you're paying by the hour. It already costs $18 for 2 hours of play, and then a third of the space is full of paid games for the kids that only take special coins that cost 50¢ each. So instead of 4 quarters to play, it's $2 for each game. I understand that they need to make a profit, but there's just so much space and visual emphasis on the extra games that it really diminishes the value of what you're already paying for to even enter. They do have some very cool items like air blasters for the ball pit balls, a suction tube system to collect and drop balls, etc. Both times we've gone, however, 2 out of the 3 air blasters weren't working and the suction tubes kept intermittently shutting down so the kids would lose interest. All of the paid games were in working order but those included, base items were not. I do not appreciate the bait and switch aspect of this business model. Lastly, the first time we went right at opening and the second we stayed until closing (stayed for 2 hours both times). Neither time did we see a single item being cleaned or sanitized. I have 2 preschool aged kids- I'm totally accustomed to a certain level of germs. But after noticing nobody cleaning, I looked a little more closely and some items were pretty grossly dirty (soft building blocks in the playhouse area up front for instance). Clearly it's a fun place in general, and the kids enjoy it, but it's just not my cup of tea based on the above. Would rate 4 stars if I felt like the space was better maintained with a focus on the customer experience...
Read moreI had a very unpleasant experience with the staff at this location. The staff here have a poor attitude and I’ve seen them toss the balls and bricks into the structures carelessly. Very unprofessional. The staff treat the customers poorly, including children, which is unacceptable. They speak rudely to parents and to children. They even announce on the loud speaker about a woman who did not have socks that they reserve the rights to refuse service to anyone especially rude customers. Which I understand, but is very passive-aggressive and does not need to be announced over the speaker. Additionally, they closed five minutes early and loudly complained about customers not leaving on time. They then stood by and stared until everyone had left. It felt as though they were only waiting to leave themselves and had no interest in offering any kind of customer service. It seems like they're unhappy with their jobs, and the way they treat customers reflects that. I won't be returning because this wasn't our first bad experience. If someone doesn't enjoy their job, they shouldn't take it out on the customers--it just drives business away. I've also witnessed them being rude to people of different ethnicities, especially when they don't understand the sock policy. While I get that it's a rule, there's no need to be demeaning about it. I think this place could really benefit from new management or at least some customer service training for their employees. Based on the other reviews, it's clear I'm not the only one with...
Read moreUpdate: I was going to have my kids 3rd birthday party at this location, but their website says as of October 15th they will no longer have parties and they're converting those rooms into DIY craft rooms. That is the worst idea ever and not being able to have parties is their way of being lazy and not wanting to succeed. Lowered my rating.
My 2.5 year old and I frequent this place a lot on weekends, as he loves this place. However, as a parent, who sits on the side for 2 hours watching and observing, I give this place a 3-star.
The staff at the counter are truly all un-friendly. Don't have the energy I would expect at a KIDS gathering spot. They talk to you like you are supposed to know everything about their waivers, pricing, etc. They do clean the heck out of the place which is very nice to see. A+ on that!
The music in there is so incredibly loud and obnoxious. They also don't play kids music so it's just loud and dis-connected to the environment.
The bathrooms are yes, very far from this place. Having to leave, put the shoes on, get your kid to pass multiple distractions to the bathroom is one of the biggest inconveniences of this place.
Fortunately my kid usually burns out after 1-1.5 hrs as he runs out of stuff to do, so if you are wondering how long to stay, that would be a good...
