Beggar's Pouch Leather — Local services in Conway

I've been visiting the north conway area for decades and while I've certainly noticed the shop I've never had a need to visit until today. My mass produced wallet had fallen apart, in need of a replacement I figured Beggars Pouch could fit the bill. The lady working (co-owner I believe) was incredibly helpful and the selection of men's wallets, along with other leather goods, was great. While I paid more for the replacement I have no doubt it will hold up and should there be an issue I have a place for repairs. Buy local. I am (was) a repeat customer at the beggars pouch until today. I've had a custom belt made there and had a leather pistol holster repaired. My father needed a similar repair so we made the hour drive to North Conway to get it fixed. There was a lady behind the counter with short gray hair. We told her what we needed done and she said she couldn't help us because "...we make hand bags..." The gentleman who fixed my holster was right there on the other end of the store and I told her so, she just looked at me like I hadn't said anything. She took no initiative. This store is an experience. The way the staff so generously helps you find what you need, customizes it to fit you and carefully adjusts a perfect fit is unmatched. I love taking my treasure find belt buckles in to have them attached to their gorgeous leather belts! Highly recommend!
