Classic Burger and Chicken Fingers. I don't understand why this place has such high reviews. $20 for four little frozen chicken fingers and a very average burger. I get that the gimmick is the burgers are wide but that doesn't make them big, like everyone says. The burger was maybe half wrapped in the bag and the chicken fingers were just dumped in the bag with a piece of wax paper. The kid taking orders and working the register is rude. Everything he asked me for my order seemed like a burden for him and everything I asked for seemed like an issue. It's obvious all of the appetizers are frozen, which is fine, but the mark up for 4 small, frozen chicken tenders is insane. The atmosphere wasn't anything special. I can say from working in kitchens that it seemed clean. The plastic bag for the frozen sweet potato fries got stuck to the fry basket so I wouldn't say clean without fault though. I would say the chicken fingers were a standard frozen chicken finger and the burger was equivalent to a sonic burger, on Sonic's worst day. The best part of this meal was the Ken's salad dressing for dipping sauces. If you don't make you appetizers and don't make your sauces, then why do you think your food is so good that it costs more than if I went and ate in...
Read moreThe burgers are really good. They are juicy, great favor and substantial in size. Every topping you could think of was available. The onion rings were hot and crispy. We were not a fan of the desserts. However, this place has customer service problems. Normally, service is first come, first served. The cashier, order taker (lady from Boston, I think Sue) doesn’t play by those rules. On both visits, I waited patiently in line. Each time there was a problem. The first time, Sue called a familiar customer from the back of the line. She said, that customer doesn’t have time to wait. The second time, Sue called another customer from the back of the line. She said, I don’t want the customer’s phone order to get cold. Sue proceeded to offer and sell a discount coupon book. Then, Sue flipped through the coupon book and clipped the coupon for the customer. Obviously, it was not about the food getting cold. Whatever the reason, it should be first come, first served. Sue's problem maybe more than customer service if you're selecting certain customers over other customers. Whatever it is, she's bad...
Read moreStaff was super nice. The house burger was good, but it was a tad on the dry side, even with the mayo and mustard that 'The Works' was supposed to include. (Pretty sure there was no mustard, just Mayo) The flavor of the burger was still excellent though. The worst part was the sweet potato fries were overcooked. Not burnt but not much more time and they would have been. Tons of fries, it was nearing the quantity 5 Guy's gives you, just wish they weren't overcooked. My Coworker ordered the Onion rings and he said they were fantastic!
Don't expect a quick in and out. Time to get your food is similar to any regular sit down restaurant. So I wouldn't consider it slow, but it's certainly not to the level of fast food or anything. I'm not disappointed I went, still good food. Just wish the sweet potato weren't overcooked.
Also, just fyi, as of July 24', the restaurant offers free dessert to anyone that'll give good reviews. So don't be surprised if you see tons of 5* reviews. They are good food, but just not quite as high a gmaps...
