In general, I am not a fan of this location. I purchased a bed frame there and was told it was a queen- they measured it. It was NOT. I got it home and put it together and measured it. It was a full size. I recently became very angry DURING a transaction. I was in the process of purchasing a few used doors. While on the phone telling my husband what I was buying, he told me I was buying there wrong size and the doors wouldn't work at all. I immediately told the person ringing me up that I got the wrong size and she told me, "no refunds, only store credit." So, during a transaction, I decided I didn't need what I was purchasing and nothing had left the store, but I was still not going to get my money back. That is absolutely absurd!! I don't even care the cause. The cause is the reason I go there to begin with. I can buy old stuff anywhere. Read moreHabitat for Humanity in town has always had great potential, and over the past few months, I’ve noticed an uptick in both inventory and variety. While larger thrift stores like Goodwill and Bethel get more attention, Habitat truly sets itself apart with its diverse selection of home furnishings and electronics. This is where the store really shines compared to its competitors.
Prices are very fair, and the weekly color based discounts, often 25% or more, make deals even better. They also offer additional savings for seniors and veterans, which is a meaningful gesture that I deeply respect.
What I appreciate most is that shopping here supports a local cause, unlike national chains. If you’re looking for value, variety, and a way to give back to the community, I highly recommend checking out Habitat for...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE! They will re-sale items you have paid for and put a sold sign on!!! Not sure if the manager who is doing this is pocketing the money or if the store is. I contacted Restore's Office and spoke with the woman that is the director, she was supposed to check into this, and call me back. 5 days later still nothing. These folks have a could care less attitude. Guess what, this is called theft and charges could be filed if I so desire. From what I understand, this is a frequent occurrence here, the re-selling of items paid for. Still may make a complaint with the State as this is a charitable...
