Maintenance was not good about fixing air conditioning problems. The manager is very attentive to the property. I didn't like the fact that the over-police enclosed balconies. They had a habit of just walking onto the porch with the sliding glass door. So keep your blinds shut at all times as they use that like the front door. I paid $1000 deposit when I got there and ended up letting them keep it just so I wouldn't have to argue with the property manager. We had a $900 electric bill in the Summer of 2020 because our interior and exterior ac system components were ancient. Three years later I still owe money to our utility company I cannot repay. The temperature in our apartment was staying above 80 running 24/7. Eventually they got it fixed but it took them like 4 months to get the parts and get around to doing the work. The stove was electrocuting us when we would cook on it due to being wired directly to the outlet instead of being plugged in with a ground. The positives were that the place was generally kept really clean except at the dumpsters which often overflowed. They had credit card operated washers and dryers. Laundry machine repair service was efficient and had contact information on the machines. The landscaping was great and the apartments on the front door side had a very upscale appearance. Overall, I didn't like the scrutiny the property manager paid to tenants porches or the defensive nature she had when we had maintenance concerns. The maintenance man at the time was a former drug user. They really need to provide those poor workers a full health and dental plan. Make no mistake they work for the office. Don't discuss or share anything you don't want getting back to management. The AC not cooling was a major problem because my oldest son has a heat-sensitive health condition. They were in the process of replacing all of the ac units. The pool, duck pond, and walking paths were big plusses. The manager was just too pushy for my liking. I came from a bad situation before through no fault of my own and just wanted my family and I to be left alone. For the most part we were ok. I didn't like having to put in so many maintenance requests. That bothered me a lot. Overall, due to the heat issues in Central Texas and the possibility of ongoing ac cooling issues I would thoroughly inspect your ceiling under the ac unit, the unit itself, and cabinets in your apartment before moving in. Those were where most of our concerns were. Don't keep anything on your balcony in plain sight either. The manager will harass you about it. I mean NOTHING at all on the balcony. Another issue is they were towing service members cars that were on deployment while we were out there. No sure if that ever got resolved. This was the last apartment I stayed in. I did not want to be bothered anymore. Do not use the utility they recommend either. Reliant is much more affordable. Ambit really sucks. It was 19 cents a kilowatt. The manager had referred us to use them when we moved in. It was the most expensive electric provider I have ever had except for Griddy. I still owe Ambit a...
Read moreDO NOT RENT HERE!!!! We never even received a water bill until our six month lease was up! My husband was given no instructions on how to pay it so he called the water department and he paid $80, a month later one of the office workers ( who have been nothing but snobby, completely rude, and disrespectful) told us we were being evicted. She told me my husband was a liar and didn't pay the bill. We were then told that we needed to pay almost $500 in late fees. We had always paid our rent and our electric on time we were never given a bill until that six months. We thought that since we didn't get one for six months that you only paid water every six months. So with the $80 we paid to the water company on top of their fees we are out of pocket almost $600!!!!! The office workers said they were trying to contact us but they never called our phone numbers then had an excuse that they had the wrong one. I just had simple questions like where were all the monthly bills if we were supposed to pay them and I was told that they didn't have paper copies anymore... They said they sent emails to my husband and he never received them. We also never one time received anything in our mail box on paper that said we owed this much rent or this much water. Only once after six months and when we were threatened to be evicted. We were told that they distribute water bills and it would be in our mailbox and then yesterday they said we should have picked it up from the office. Well my friends that lived here got their rent in paper bill form and their water tacked on. We NEVER did. I don't enjoy speaking ill of others but this is the worst I have ever been treated by people who are supposed to be professionals. We were told that they put a notice on our door but I am a stay at home mom and never saw one. I asked when they put it there and one woman told me she didn't know. When I told her we were on vacation for a couple of weeks she looked down at the floor then said that was when she put it there....very convenient. I paid the bill but I am very upset about this if I pay rent and my electric why wouldn't I pay water? The two workers kept smiling at each other then speaking to me like I was complete dirt in the most condescending tone. I was so upset I cried. Please do not live here. Management and policies need to change because billing should be consistent with every resident, you should not get to pick and choose who you deliver a bill to and who you purposely try to sabotage. Please do not live here! I have a five month old baby to provide for or I would have fought harder against that bill. Lots of roaches too. I've sprayed over six times, put baits down, and even had Terminex spray and put baits down. They...
Read moreAt one point I was stationed at fort hood so unfortunately this was the only apartment complex that was available. I lived there for about 4 years and let me tell you, towards the end of my time there they showed their real colors. During my PCS process I was trying to terminate my lease with my orders. I’ve asked the manger/receptionist multiple times when is it a good time to submit my orders and they told me September 10. This was the mistake that I made and how it will come to bite me. Fast forward about a couple of months and I got hit with a bill. Apparently because of the time I submitted my orders (again they told me to submit on September 10) I had to pay the full amount rent for October. Mind you I only lived in the town house in October for a bout 7 days. I’m overseas that point, so the time difference is pretty wide. So now I’m forced to pay the full amount of the rent in a short time frame. Part of it is my fault for not doing my homework and not getting it in writing. Don’t be like me, do your research, don’t waste your time on these people. They will not tell you anything and will with held information from you regardless of how nice you are. No amount of words can’t describe how utterly despicable they are for even trying this stunt on me.
They’re con artists. They don’t take a care military, apartment complex is always dirty, it takes a while for a work order to get fixed and the rent just keeps on increasing. Save your money and don’t waste your time with these people. Their receptionist (Nacy) is entirely useless...
