Texas Meltdown — Restaurant in Copperas Cove

2 of us came in for lunch. I had never been there. The woman I was with had been there before, and liked it. One other customer in the store. We ordered drinks, soup, sandwich, chips, and cookie. Our food was brought to us in a reasonable amount of time. But the girl who brought it failed to bring the chips, and cookie. Still only one other person in the restaurant. I had to go get it from the counter. The all in one heater/air unit showed the temp on 74, but at almost 100 degrees, the back door was open, and it was hot in there. Maybe the door was open to let the smoke out, from my burnt sandwich. Never asked if everything was alright. Pictures show what I couldn’t eat. Unfortunately for them, this isn’t acceptable, and should never have been served. My first visit was my last visit, and I don’t recommend anything at Texas Meltdown.

I To the owner, about your response. Why can’t you own exactly what I proved. You’re making excuses for everything. Why should I have to complain, when anyone with eyes, and common sense can see a burnt sandwich…that’s to include the yahoo who made it, who had to smell it starting to burn, and the woman who served it saw it burnt, but she couldn’t even get the entire order to the table…it became a self serve. The back door being open for delivery…the delivery man can knock. It’s about the customers, not the delivery person. With your reasoning, WTH, turn the ac off, and open the doors. Like I said, I won’t be back, and all the free food in the world...

Editing to answer the reply. First I do recommend trying this place. Second I really love your game room!!!! Absolutely amazing. I loved how the owner has been there both times and has helped serve us. I feel like in order to bring it up to five. I would have to go back a few more times and try different things. The first time i had the chicken fried steak. I didn't end up eating it because though the crunch was perfect and the the meat was cooked well. My main problem with it was it didnt have any flavor. It tasted like I was just eating something with no flavor. My husband loved his meal. I didn't leave a review the first time because i like to make sure. We came back and again the owner helped serve us and checked on us and i loved that. I got the jalapeno poppers and they were freaking amazing. I also got a hamburger and fries and everything had flavor and tasted yummy We went on Christmas and it was nice to have that local Cafe small town feeling. We went for the first time today so it’s been open for a while and all in all the 3 sandwiches with a bottle of water and one soda for the price of $42.91 was ok. The sandwiches did not come with chips or any side possibility, you could purchase a small bag of chips but in no sandwich place I ever went they changed for a bag of chips. The cashier was friendly but new and when we said it was our first time her answer was we get a lot of first timers, so my response was you don’t get any repeat costumes, she responded not really. 🤷‍♀️ so I asked what was her favorite and she said she didn’t eat anything there, every owner of a restaurant should give a taste of there food to the people that work there so they can tell the customers how the food is. So needless to say that we will not be going back soon , maybe in a few months to see if something changed. I am sad but there are other places to go eat and support in Cove.
