I went into the Coral Square Mall last evening to replace the battery in my Michael Kors watch. I took it to a place called Jewelry Plus. When I gave this man my watch, it was in PERFECT condition, except for the battery being dead. When this man returned my watch, the entire minute and second hand in the sub-dials date window had fallen off and now in the face of the watch. In addition, each time that the second hand moves, the minute hand moves as well. When I confronted this man, he started to raise his voice at me and told me he did nothing wrong and that I need to take the same to a watch repair as he only does battery. I told him that was not how I gave him my watch and that I am going to report him to the management office. He told me to do whatever I want and that I need to pay him for the battery. He now charged me $10.00 to replace the battery instead of $15.00 that he originally told me it would cost. I was not about to argue with this man and create a scene in the mall and to lose a $300.00 watch over $10.00. Needless to say, I paid him the $10.00. I got my watch and took it to Macy's as that was where I purchased it. I was told by the lady at the Michael Kors counter that they had to send out the watch for repair as they do not repair watches in the store and that it will be costly to repair. At this time I was fuming mad. She, however, told me there is a store in the mall that could help me. That's when she referred me to Fast Fix Watch and Repair, where I met two of the sweetest gentlemen, Mariano and Dario. I explained to them what happened and they immediately told me what that other guy did wrong with my watch. Mariano and Dario took very good care of me and was able to repair my watch to look brand new. Mariano and Dario I just want to say thanks very much again from the bottom of my heart. There is no doubt that I will be coming back to you for any future repairs and definitely will refer others to you. Thank you both again and...
Read moreI am reluctant to write or read reviews for that matter. Mostly because Google algorithms somehow decided that if a biz is a 4.8 star that somehow equates to...what. Fill in the blank. Can I really rely on some disgruntled customers whose irrational requests somehow make this small business somewhere I don't want to patronize.
No, for me AI-and Google reviews are not going to replace an honest assessment in what used to be called word-of-mouth and a friendly recommendation.
I don't know what's important yo you, but for me I just want to leave any retail encounter feeling better than I did before I got there. And those moments are shrinking each day.
Is the kid at Chipolte so gracious enough to stop watching his Youtube video or texting his friends to actually pay attention when I say no thank you to the guacamole but light on the tomaters.
Yeah I'm getting old-but when I patronize Alina and he Jewelry shop at the mall I get a smile. A genuine hello. A genuine what can I do for you-vs todays retail norm-you're doing them a favor. When I see Alina or any of the great staff I never feel like it's anything other than a genuine moment. An opportunity to do today's impossible-make me feel better than I did before I got there.
Generations always look back for the past glory days-my parents did it. Bruce Springsteen wrote a song about it. SO Im not writing a review that says you're gonna feel like 1985 when the mall opened and 40 years didn't just pass in a polaroid shutter.
All I'm saying is in '85 there more businesses like this where you went-you said hello, you felt better than you did when you left and you did what was right-tell your friends.
Here's the rip of it all...
And they kept there end of the unspoken deal - they kept being...

I came in to have the front cover of my watch repaired, and that part went fine. I then asked to have a link removed—and then noticed one of the pins was broken ( I should have went back I immediately) and it looked like the watch was about to fall off. I returned to the store the next week and the woman working there opened the store clearly in a bad mood brushing off the simple communication I tried to have with her. I understand we all have rough mornings, so I stayed calm and explained what happened.
Instead of listening, she completely dismissed me. I told her clearly that the watch did not have a broken pin before I brought it in—I even double-checked everything with my father beforehand. Still, she refused to take any responsibility or even acknowledge the possibility.
What really frustrated me wasn’t the $50—it was her attitude. She was rude, cold, and showed zero concern for customer satisfaction. It felt like all she cared about was avoiding a refund, not helping a customer who came in respectfully.
I NEVER leave reviews and I have this to say not for you to read because I’m pretty sure you’ll get upset and give me a response to justify your unprofessionalism, but to warn others. If you value good service and professionalism, I suggest you take your...
