Nordstrom Rack — Local services in Coral Springs

I don't normally visit this type of store because I know the prices are high. This particular location is brand new and I wanted to check it out. As expected, the store is neat and orderly. All of the merchandise is attractively displayed and the aisles and merchandise racks are well stocked. The store was busy and the cashier's were efficiently moving the queue through. No items were on the floor or blocking the aisles. As I also expected, the prices just too high for my liking I'm aware of what merchandise costs elsewhere and even the deeply marked down price is higher here. Nordstrom Rack puts price tags on everything showing an extremely high "comparable" price that's crossed out and then their discounted price, which looks good by comparison. The discount percentage is normally well over 50%, or even 74%, which seems good, right? Maybe. The brands being sold are the ultra-high-end variety and I get it, if someone is really that brand conscious, this may the place for them. If however, when a high quality alternative is satisfactory, and you aren't into brand-name this-and-that, you will go elsewhere. I usually love coming to Nordstrom Rack Coral Springs it’s one of my favorite locations. Unfortunately, today I had an experience that left me a bit disappointed. The cashier who assisted me, Monique F. spoke to me in a way that felt dismissive simply because I didn’t immediately understand what she said. It was a very minor issue, but when I asked about the amount, she seemed irritated and responded in a way that felt unkind. As customers, I believe we should always feel welcomed with patience and courtesy, regardless of how small the situation may be. I truly respect how hard retail can be, and I know everyone can have a difficult day, but in a customer service role, kindness makes all the difference.
