Extra Space Storage — Local services in Corinth

Originally rented a storage space at the location in flower mound, we were told it was climate controlled and it was not. Thank fully the front desk employee was extremely helpful and got us a climate controlled unit at the facility down the street from my house. What we weren't told was that the rate we received was a promotion, so 3 months later I receive a notice in the mail stating that my rate is increasing by almost 70 dollars. Not only was this a complete surprise to me, it showed up 3 days prior to when my auto draft was scheduled. I called the facility and the person at the front desk told me that it was in my contract that it was a promotional rate. I get that it was in my contract but this is something that should have been stated to me before renting the unit but no. The person at the front desk offered to try and lower it, they got it a whopping 20 dollars cheaper... yall could have done better then that. I went in a short time after that to see about down sizing my unit because at this point it is no longer affordable. The gentleman at the front desk provided me with other units that were smaller but the same price. When I asked if there was anything else that was cheaper, he very rudely snapped at me stating that was all they had. I apologize for asking you to do your job. Thankfully I was informed he no longer works for the company. I feel bad for the customers that have to deal with him in whatever job he gets next. Now I have received yet another notice of a rate increase. My unit is now going up by another 80 dollars because that's apparently the street value of the unit. This unit is on the third floor... I can only imagine what the first floor units are going for. I vacated my unit immediately and moved directly next door to US Storage where the same unit is 100 dollars cheaper and I have already received way better customer service. For being such a large company, Extra Space I expected more from you. Apparently now its all about making money and not the customers that allow you to make that money.

Moving is never fun, so I am incredibly thankful for the friendly and helpful staff at Extra Space Storage! Initially I rented my unit online. When I got there I realized very quickly it was much smaller than I needed. The amazing staff was quick to transfer me to a larger unit. The process was so easy!

The facilities themself are outstanding! The amount of security provided is unlike any I’ve rented from before. I appreciate that we put a code to get in to the complex, the actual building, the elevator that only grants access to the floor our unit is on, and to exit. Climate-controlled is also nice because I didn’t have to worry about things melting or being ruined.

Initially I looked at a complex right next door to my apartment I was moving out of. Then I found that Extra Storage was substantially cheaper, climate controlled and very secure!

I’m confident my belongings are safe and secure!

Follow-up: This experience was great from beginning to end. Giving notice and move-out was a breeze! The employees are incredibly helpful and polite. I would 100% recommend them and do business in the future should...

Update: New manager Jonathan is a young jerk, and only cares about the buck. We are set up with the app, email, and phone number but the company supposedly sends a "postcard" via snail mail to let you know prices will increase. No incentive to stay when speaking to him on phone or in person. They are just like all the others now.. "Due to demand". Doesn't matter how long you have been there, or that you are prepaid, or that you are wanting to prepay again prior to end of current "non-contract" term. They only do "month to month" so that is their excuse. Customer service just does not exist anymore anywhere. Never had any problems with this place previously, but cannot praise based on the actions and attitude of the new manager.

OLD: Clean, great pricing, easy access. We prepaid for 2 years, and should we cut our time short we get a refund. No fees or penalties. There is no restroom in the building we have a unit, but there is great lighting and...
