Artistic Bliss Portraits — Local services in Cornelius

If I was rating only the photos I would give 5 starts no questions asked. However, I struggled with the timeliness, responsiveness, and communication when it came to receiving the photos we took.

A certificate was purchased for me at an auction and presented as a gift (valued at $800). We still paid $2000 for the photos we received, but we were under the impression it would be less than this due to the certificate value.

We started our photos with maternity in August and had newborn photos done in September. Once the galleries were ready for purchase we scheduled the review (mid October—nothing offered sooner for the maternity photos) and took the time to eliminate photos we didn’t like as much and discussed edits we would like done. We were told photos would be ready in a few weeks. By mid November I had not heard anything and sent multiple messages for an update. I was finally told the gallery was complete and when I was sent the link the full gallery, with photos we didn’t like were there and none of the edits we discussed had been completed.

We also purchased all photos that included 2 prints and a flash drive. I had to continue to do follow ups to get these items to me. All said and done we received our final prints and flash drive in January.

I loved working with Kim and Larry, but was disappointed in the lack of communication, the time it took to get everything finalized, and the amount of follow up I had to do to get the gallery and prints, but the photos...

This experience was awesome!! I purchased this at an auction and I am so happy that I did. Though my family is not super comfortable with formal family photos I thought I'd try it anyway. Larry was very responsive when it came to scheduling. He worked with our tight schedules and was pleasant and very customer service oriented. He provided GREAT tips on what to wear for the photos, providing Pinterest boards to guide us. He helped us locate an outdoor location with the look we were going for. He was/is very responsive and helpful. THEN, the photo shoot. He directed us to a lovely location in Washington Park, had towels to walk on so our feet didn't get muddy, toys to make the kids laugh and candy too, if allowed. He and his wife are a great team, silly and wild and got the biggest smiles out of my 2 year old AND my 3 month old. They were both helpful in posing the family, which we needed and found helpful. The shoot took 30 minutes! Hoorah. It was amazing. Then the final step of choosing the photos was a lovely experience. The team narrowed the photos down to the "best of" and then showed them on his big screen while we sip tea and ate cookies. The photos are natural and have beautiful color and are sharp! I have received multiple compliments on the product. I felt no pressure to buy, buy, buy, the only reason I chose to purchase above and beyond what my auction package included was because the photos were awesome, tear jerkers, beautiful and worth...

Kimberly and Larry Torris did a family photo shoot for us in October and we absolutely loved both of them! Kimberlys’ approach of just blending in with our family and capturing candid moments was exactly what we were looking for. The shoot yielded absolutely beautiful shots that show our personalities. We will treasure them, and they will make perfect holiday gifts for all our family members this year! Kimberly and Larry are also unbelievably easy to work with, both in setting up the shoot, the day of, and when they delivered the images. Both are super responsive over text and email, In person, Kimberly and Larry Torris are really kind and friendly, and our family immediately comfortable around them.
