Cornelius Food Market — Restaurant in Cornelius

So I ordered from this store because I recognized the franchise from Tallahassee. I wanted to try their food again. The customer service here is despicable.

I ordered from GrubHub and the driver dropped my food off at the wrong location. I have text messages from the driver and receipts from customer service to that effect.

Customer service issued me courtesy credit for the driver messing up. For that reason, they cancelled my original order. So that it could be used on a new order. Then I get a call from GrubHub CS when my assigned driver arrived, telling me that the restaurant said another driver has my order. I said no that woman left almost half an hour ago.

I get clarification from the GrubHub CS manager that a THIRD unknown driver picked up my order. The driver who was assigned to my order didn’t have anything to pick up for me. So the restaurant gave my food away to some random person and, even though GrubHub would have paid for THEIR error (and they paid for my first order gone wrong too), they refused to make new food to give my proper driver because “they already remade my food twice”. They treated me like I was stealing food from them and it was THEIR mistake....

The food was OK (the biscuits were the only thing we probably wouldn't order again - very bland, yet somehow too salty at the same time), but I ordered via Postmates, and an entire meal was left out of the order - though I was still charged for it. The delivery packing receipt listed the missing meal, and it was checked off as if it had been packed with the rest...the entire meal was missing, 2 pieces of chicken, a side (different from any other ordered sides), and the biscuit (the rest of which were placed in a box together). We had been hearing about this (gas station chicken) hmmm…. We went, bought some, well it is so so good. We usually get Winco chicken, theirs is lightly coated and pretty good. This KKC is the best fried krunchy chicken, the pieces are a good size, the flavor goes al the way threw. They have regular and Cajun flavors, next time Cajun and they also have fried catfish that looked fabulous…. So next time for that too, yummm. 😊 I’m glad we tried it.
