Baseline Pawn — Local services in Cornelius

Baseline Pawn is the absolute WORST pawn shop that I've ever seen, in Oregon or any of the 11 other states I've visited. Their prices are attractive only to the ignorant or obscenely wealthy. The reason why is the owner, Sheila. Even taking into account the fact that all pawn shops are looking to make a profit, and they frequently have to deal with some unpleasant, dishonest folks, this female takes the prize for being the biggest 'poverty pimp' I or anyone else could encounter.

If you're wanting to sell, put your goods on Craigslist until you do...because the dirt price that Sheila will offer you for them is just that. The only thing she parts with freely is insults and condescending remarks about how worthless your items are, and how you really aught to consider yourself lucky to have ANY offer from her. Now, I will say that I've seen her interact positively with SOME people...those who have no shame in using their mouth as a substitute for toilet paper! Past that however, she's just as hateful and miserable to others as to me.

So, if you're considering donating stuff to Goodwill, or tossing it in the ol' burning barrel, by all means, take it in to Baseline! If your gear is worth more than the fuel your car would consume to get there, NO. I've made a firm resolution to never go back there unless the building is on fire, and I happen to need to...

I like going in here even though the owner is not always overly friendly it’s her personality not everyone needs to be super friendly but she has always been honest and fair and has always given me her time and knowledge and does warm up to you if your intentions are good going in. I’m sure she has to deal with a lot of shady people so you have to have your guard up. I’m confused to the negative reviews because I like visiting the store. Awhile back a few years ago I brought my gold here and had the WORST experience ever, the gal who owns the place completely destroyed my gold necklaces and bracelets calling them fake tossing them back at me and not even remotely interested, I had gone to another pawn store who told me it was not fake and had the worth of 600 dollars so she completely destroyed them for no reason!
