Amazing food and amazing people. Drove over from Hillsboro on a random night and ordered a bunch of stuff very close to their closing time. They graciously made everything that was available and we got everything to go. This was a mom and pop place run by very kind people who had to recall their daughter, who had left for home, to help with our final order for the night. Their food was delicious, homemade and fresh and we were very grateful that they stayed back way past their closing time to serve us.
The spicy chatpatey looked like a bhelpuri or jhalmuri but its taste was very unique, for those who are fans of the former please give their chatpatey a try, as it tastes very different in comparison. It has a spicy kick and its unique flavor is reminiscent of the numbing nature of the Sichuan peppercorn although its taste is significantly different. Speaking of differences their Ghuguni looked very different from the ones we have consumed growing up. Their peas used are green in color and their curry is significantly more watery, however their Ghuguni Puri was an absolute favorite amongst my friends. Initially they were disappointed by the look of it, due to our benchmark for Ghuguni being very different looking, however the flavors were amazing, that watery curry packed a big punch and the green peas never felt out of place. In combination with the puri, which itself was made from fermented dough, reminiscent of a bhatura, the dish was punching way above its weight.
We also ordered both types of non-veg momos and found them to be good. The number of momos served for the price felt quite high and they plopped in a few extra for us as well. The momo chutney was quite different from the red spicy chutney that we usually get with momos, their orange chutney had spices but was not hot at all. Their chowmein was flavorful and its thin egg noodle style was reminiscent of Kolkata street chow, however it's taste was quite different. My favorite from their cart had to be the thukpa hands down. Anyone who prefers chicken soup on a chilly or drizzly evening will love their soul warming thukpa. Similar to a ramen in some ways, the thukpa is a soupy noodle dish with meat and veggies, dispersed in a delicious but mildly flavored broth, that will warm you from the inside and keep you going on the coldest of nights.
In all, this little food truck was a very pleasant surprise. We sampled almost all of their dishes (except their curry rice which they ran out of) and would recommend that you give them a try. Can't wait to go back and try their Ghuguni Puri on a weekend, Thukpa in the winter and Chatpatey whenever we feel like life needs a little bit of spice. Even though this is in Cornelius, the drive will be worth it. You may come for the momos but you will stay for...
Read moreWhat a friendly family making made to order specialities. Don't go looking for fast food as this is homemade but well worth the wait. The momo were gobbled up in less than 5 minutes, do yourself a favor and get two orders. We also had the samosas which were generous in size and packed with flavor. Lastly we ordered the beef curry, super flavorful but not a typical slow cooked version which I enjoy more.

Read moreThe people who work here are so friendly. Everything is fresh, never frozen. We tired the Beef curry & rice, so delicious! The chicken chow mein, liked how they got a slight char on all the veggies, but still slightly crunchy, so good. Also tried the pork dumplings, very good. Highly recommend...
