We put up with so much while living at The Hills of Corona. We did not expect to get our deposit back because the dogs had pretty much destroyed the carpet over the 2+ years we lived there and we came to terms with that. However, we still cleaned the place, patched nail holes AND painted those patchesā¦some how they still managed to stick us with $1300 in "cleaning" fees and almost $800 is owed out of pocket while the rest was taken from our deposit. We had two brake ins while living here, a "home made meth lab" found in the parking lot according to the cops that were there all day investigating, many fights outside at all hours of the night (lots of crazy people living around us it seemed)..not to mention you are right next to the walmart which brings in TONS of drama. The gates are broken constantly, when they are fixed the keys never work either because it was cut off of the millionth copy or because they can't keep track of what key is what. They argue with you when you simply go into the office to bring these things to their attention and never just say ok and make an effort to fix the problem. We have found bums sleeping in the pool area bathroom, partiers swimming and being loud in the pool at 3am and it's so easy for people to get away with anything here because there is no security & there are no working locks. We are paying what we are billed without putting up any fights because we are just thankful to be out of that place, but I did feel these reviews are called for and we will also be going to corporate to let them know about the attitude of a specific girl in the office as well as the constant battle we faced with the locks. There was never a day we had the response of "sure, we will fix that lock asap, thanks for letting us know"ā¦It was always an argument and a blame game. We never cared who broke the lock or how often it was tampered with, we just wanted it fixed each time someone broke it and we are entitled to that considering we paid to live in an over priced "gated community." Needless to say, we have moved and are much happier and I know I am personally blown away by the service I receive at my new place & already made sure to leave them a great review because I think good service deserves it just as much as bad. These were my first two reviews I have ever made online, hopefully I will never have to waste time on this BS again. -Thanks for reading, good luck with the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTo say our experience there was traumatic was an understatement. We lived there 8 months before they fixed our front sliding door to lock and a further few months before they got our oven working! All whilst downstairs was reporting re accruing break ins where safety lights were not working and were told it was not the managements problem. The air conditioning didnāt get fixed for a year despite constant calls, emails etc⦠which ended up effecting my health in the soaring temps of 120f. You can hear your neighbours going up and down the stairs and our neighbours pot smoking billowed through the flimsy wall sockets every night. Car thefts are common and security felt invisible and we were told only worked certain days and hours. We had nails sticking up out of carpets. Toilets not working for ages. We were told to be out of the apartment for 2 days for chemical work to be done. Arriving back with a suspected pregnancy to being locked out of our home @ midnight as the locks had been changed without asking or telling us. Several hours later after we got in, we could barely breath with the fumes as seems they had left it till the last minute despite us paying for a long weekend in a hotel! As to the noise our glass coffee table rattled almost daily from the noise of the base in the cars coming and going. So if you like loud and unsafeā¦this is the place for you! And talk about over priced!
There was one trustworthy maintenance guy Pedro who saved us a few timesā¦as to the restā¦Donāt trust them and I would highly recommend avoiding at all costs unless you have a good legal team you are supported by. The pool seemed beautiful upon arrival but found it often filled with mentally unwell homeless people and outsiders that just took over. Over a year they the locks to the pool were broken and every weekend they were to be fixed ā¦.of course ;) Every issue brought to management felt like a joke and would be avoided for months, until we would threaten to get our lawyer onboard for safety reasons.
Thankfully we got out and still breath a sigh of relief often remembering how stressful and unsafe it was living at The Hills of Corona.I hope this saves some people the pain of it and that you find a safer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I moved in recently and since I've been here there have been some issues I've come across inside my apartment and with amenities. First when you meet for a tour they make this place seem irrestible and somewhere where you can feel at home, but upon move in I had problems with my sink, it was leaking obviously since the prior tenants because of the water stains, and then the plumbing was not taken care of. My sink back up two weeks after move in and since no one came to take care of a service request I had to call in a second party to fix my sink, and that's when I saw how clogged my sink was. Next, was the grill and pool situation, one the grills look terrible, left over food from who knows how long ago, no one cleans them, the knobs are broken and you, as a paying tenant must provide your own propane/ gas for the grills, stupid. The last place I lived at provided the gas for the grills. No pool cleaning man should be cleaning a pool while children are present and swimming! That is a job that is done before, early in the morning, so when the children come out to swim the chemicals have diluted. It is ridiculilos. Finally, I never realized how poor of a complex I moved to until I was added to the community chat room, and alll you can read is complaints and problems every tenant is dealing with, and when will they be fixed. I pay too much for a poor...
