Yesterday, April 11th, it was around 10:30am, I went to the store to pick up two cellphones which were bought online. There was literally no other customer at the store besides me. I stated that I came in to pick up an order. And an asian guy/employee questioned ironically: “are you picking up an OTTER??” Clearly, making fun of how I pronounced the word “order”. Another employee said: “he came up to pick up an order.” I just confirmed and got my order at the locker. Afterwards, I asked the same employee if he could get me a SIM card replacement because mine was stolen. First, I wanted to confirm if nobody else could use the stolen SIM card. He, impatiently, said no. I ended up buying a phone that doesn’t require a physical SIM card, but I didn’t know about that. Then, he asked me where was the device for the new SIM card and then, I pointed to my new device. Then, in a very condescending tone, he said that phone that doesn’t demand any SIM card. I didn’t have this information before and I’m not supposed to know either. He was there to help me, BUT THE ENTIRE TIME, he treated me very bad. As if he didn’t want to help me or something. I mean, I’m a customer and I spent a lot of money on those two phones and plans to be treated like this. As I said, there was NO OTHER CUSTOMER at the store, so no reason for this extremely uncomfortable situation. I was polite the whole time and even when all this happened, I kept being polite. But as soon as I left the store, I felt really bad for everything that had just happened. I’m going to file a formal complaint at Verizon because I believe that nobody should be treated like this. I don’t remember his name, but I’m going to find out so I can deal with this...
Read moreI came in to try and get information on a phone that I wanted to buy. I previously set up and order and was told as long as I came before the end of December I could set up the same order for my new address (I moved from another state). I went in and was greeted by someone and when I told her I wanted to buy a phone she directed me to Kristi. First of all, she did not even stand to greet us instead she just told us to sit in front of her. I told her I called previously and wanted the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I don’t know why she kept just saying pro and trying to show me a different phone but I had to insist that I wanted the pro Max. Anyway, after we established which phone I want, she just told me that I would have to wait until the end of December for it to ship. I tried to ask her for different options and she very apparently did not want to help me because she just kept telling me to go somewhere else (apple, Best Buy, another carrier). Then I tried to go over the deal I was told about earlier this month and she just kept telling me she would need to rerun my credit and she “didn’t know why I was even asking her about it if i wasn’t going to buy anything”. From then I got up and left. When I walked out of the store she walked up to the security guard and I watched her mock the way I walked out and what I was saying. Overall very frustrated not only with Verizon but I would never recommend kristi to anyone who is interested in considering this company for their...
Read moreI came here for help with my prepaid service. I was almost immediately told that nothing could be done to get my old number back. They didn't even check the account. Instead, they told me to go get my new prepaid device and bring it back so they could activate it. After this exchange, I informed the employee that I wanted to browse the store - I love electronics and I was considering buying a screen protector. I was then told " ok, but don't steal anything."
After I finished browsing I left and before I arrived home, I stopped at another Verizon store. (The one on 6th Street in Corona) They turned out to be extremely helpful. They researched my account and informed me (I wish I could say it was to my surprise) that it would take almost no time at all to have my old number up and running and transferred to my new device. I left 20 minutes later with exactly what I wanted. Nor did they treat me like I was going to steal something.
In conclusion, the Verizon store on McKinley totally sucks, to the maximum fullest degree possible. I would not recommend a visit here for any reason. Go to another location if you like being helped. Oh yeah, I got my phone (Samsung Galaxy J7) for $50 less at Wal-Mart (across the...
